Program works just fine on a machine running XP Home w. 1 gig of ram

What's up?

Try 2.10.2, it's a much better version than 2.10, and not that much different.

I would assume that 2.10.2 isn't very different than 2.10.2.

Nope, that didnt do it. Now when I double click the icon, a full screen window comes up, and closes down immediately

Did you download the one with ZCLauncher included? If so, don't try to boot up ZQ on it's own, first open ZCLauncher and setup your specific settings and click the run ZQ button within that program.

Try right clicking the icon and telling it to run as administrator. See if that fixes the problem.

There's a few people having the same problem as you, I'm going to assume you're having the same problem as me. I've spent a lot of time finding no elegant solutions. You can probably run it in windowed mode, but that doesn't exactly run as well as anyone would like.

The problem doesn't seem to have anything to do with graphics cards or drivers, I've tested that a lot. It has something to do with the resolution, because running it in a larger scale usually works, and ZC2.50 has the same problem if you run it in the old smaller graphics mode. It seems to happen randomly on some computers and not others. I ran the same version of ZC for years without any problems and then that started happening out of the blue.

My best solution so far is to use a different computer. Lucky for me I happened to have one.

I was commenting on Plissken's previous error, which he has since changed.

You know that page I linked you before? Make sure you download one that says either:

Zelda Classic 2.10.2 for Windows (Full + ZC Launcher 1.5 beta 3a)
Zelda Classic 2.10.2 for Windows (Changed files only + ZC Launcher 1.5 beta 3a)

Only get the second if you already downloaded 2.10.2 or 2.10 before.
Then ZC Launcher will be in the folder you unzip, use that program to start up ZQ or ZC.

Ok, that worked, but holy god..... The game play speed is way too fast. How do I slow it down?

Never mind this post - got it. Thanks for the help!
