Anyone know what it is? My wife downloaded some old games and some have this extension. I've never seen it before.

This (http://filext.com/file-extension/FIG) page details the many uses for that extension. Sorry I can't be more specific, as I've never heard of this before and Google only gives me two links that aren't about the fruit: One saying that it's an Image format and the link at the beginning of this post. For the most part though, it seems to mostly be used for graphics of some sort and is even used for SNES ROM Images. *shrugs*

I think they're calc games.

I seem to recall .fig games working under ZSNES, which would mean that they're SNES ROMs.

Man, I haven't played any emulated games in forever...

So, as far as I know, .fig is a graphics file produced by Matlab. According to a basic search, .fig also exists as a file that can be run on an SNES emulator. These are definitely two distinct file types, despite sharing the same extension.

That's the best I can do for you. *shrugs* The link Dark Knight provided seems pretty good, though.
