For those who are still having trouble running ZC 2.10 on vista...

These are the notable things you MUST do to run the app as far as I know. I figured this be good to have all in one thread instead of all over the forums, for the noobs in particular.

(if there are differences, or a problem with this thread's creation, please let me know)

-Disable UAC (User Accont Control) or Run the program as an administrator.
-Run as a window (I can't get it to run full screen yet though I have a widescreen. may be an odd resolution ZC can't handle.)
**ZC should auto change the graphics to vista basic if not already set there**

I already made a topic of this and ZQ can run in Fullscreen mode no matter what res.

i havn't gotten it to run in 1280x800 yet....I saw what you put and it doesn't hold completely true. it won't run widscreen as of what i've seen. Maybe it'll only run in 4:3? If not then can you correct me? I'd like to get one thread on this subject so that everyone with vista has a place to turn to.

Ok, but quick question about this. Which would be safer, that is, Disabling UAC or Running the program as an administrator?

Just use ZCL as your main program (packaged with the latest builds at www.shardstorm.com) and run it as an admin. It will work fine and you can use ZC and ZQuest without a problem.

Technically there's nothing you "MUST" do, as some people have absolutely no problems running ZC on Vista. =\

I've never had any problems running ZC on my computer.
Which has Vista.
