So I'm using FireFox as my browser. Don't ask what version because I have no idea. Most likely the most recent one. Any way, I got to answer my email, on hot mail btw, and when I try to delete an email from my in box it takes me to a blank page and says Length Required. That's all. Anybody know how to fix this? I can delete my shit with IE but not with FireFox.

on hot mail btw, ... Anybody know how to fix this?

Ah, I found the problem. They have a program that fixes that: It's free too. (http://gmail.google.com)

EDIT: I have an old hotmail account and I tried it. It works for me. I'm running Firefox on Linux.

You using a Mac?

At the very bottom, it is discovered that the issue is in the parental controls function.

This post, in particular.

If you are using Windows, are you doing these things from the Administrator account

Gmail is the best fix I can think of. Obviously, you did not catch his truthful sarcasm.

Hotmail sucks for a multitude of reasons, so dumping it may not be the worst idea. I dunno how to fix your problem AND keep Hotmail, but Bel's suggestion ain't bad...

Clearly, your message inbox is insulting you.

Well I'm not changing my email account. I have too many things tied to that account. I would be in for an afternoon of work to change it.

I'm not using a Mac and I am an Administrator. The problem only started recently.

See if it works if you open an IE tab in Firefox.

Okay, how would I do that?

then add hotmail to your IEtab list and then everytime you visit it in firefox, it loads in a IETab :)

it's a excellent addon for when you visit microsoft etc.

Clearly you did not have enough length.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :)

Well what I ended up doing was downloading FireFox 3, because the tab download wasn't compatible with FF2. And so now it all works out. I have all the length I need now.

EDIT: Or not. I worked before now it doesn't so I'm getting that IE tab thing. Thanks for all the help.

EDIT 2: Well the IE tab Add-on isn't compatible with FF3. So I guess I'll just use IE to check my email.

I'm taking this slightly off-topic, but why does hotmail suck compared to gmail?

For what it's worth, your hotmail troubles do not occur in Lolifox (http://lolifox.com/) (yes this is SFW, the name is partially in jest; it's a modified script of Firefox with different system requirements, a few alterations, and some features tailored towards anime downloading that I don't really pay attention to; it just seems to run more smoothly and reliably than real firefox, and I haven't had many issues with it. Kinda like why I use Winamp 2.5 and Spacescript 5.0 alpha with an updated mIRC.exe for IRC purposes). XD

Though I generally prefer Gmail and use that account more. Hotmail isn't terrible from my minimal experience, but Gmail is very nice indeed, with it's automatic draft saving and allowment for huge attachments and epic inbox size.

As an aside, and just for the record, I don't require any additional length.:naughty:
