First of all, future questions should be in ZC Discussion. Just a friendly FYI. ;)

If it's asking you for a password it's because your trying to open it in ZQuest, which is the editor. Load it up with Zelda Classic to play it.

Third, you are trying to use ZQuest, which edits the quests. You need to use the program called Zelda_w
