Son Of The Beach Fun Quest

I just given the test to this,, Son of the beach...,
but would like some little help
,
I think need a candle but can't find it!!
,
Can't find level 2, finished level one and several dungeon quest already
,
need the arrow,, got the bow already
,
remember a hint, is like a Tylenol, easy my head!

I see you're dusting off all my old quests...

The first question I must ask is what version of ZC are you playing the quest with? This quest only works with ZC 1.90 as far as I know. If you made it to the end of a mini-dungeon only to find an empty room, you're using the wrong version of ZC. Here's why (http://www.armageddongames.net/forums/showthread.php?p=1168532#post1168532).

The candle can be found in the mini-dungeon just west of where you start.

Once you get the candle you can open Level 2 (its location is marked on the Overworld map).

The arrow is at the end of the mini-dungeon just east of the graveyard.

Yupe, downloaded ver-190, installed this and start playing
performing real good...!
at the end of either dungeon a fairy give me some stuff, candle, etc
BUT!!!, when it came to the arrow dungeon, everything was going good
after I made to the final room and the fairy gave me the arrow
!!!! I saw the arrow and grabbed it !!!!! but never come into my inventory!!
remake two more time this dungeon, but final room is empty
what happened ??? everything else is working excellent!!
also one fairy give me the power bracelet, and I got it!!
any other place where to get any arrow?????? or buy???
feel like starting this quest one more time won't guarantee me nothing!
any idea?? wow!

just because it didnt show up doesent mean its not exactly there. did you try selecting it? maybe its just set to transparent or something. if not then im not sure what to do for you lol =)

I'd like to help you but I'm having no luck running ZC 1.90 under Vista (but I'm going to die trying (http://www.armageddongames.net/forums/showthread.php?t=102038)). I'll see what I can do with my XP SP 2 laptop. As best as I can remember (remember, the quest is almost seven years old!) this quest is completely playable and winnable under 1.90.

/me plans to create a dual-boot next time he formats, for many reasons besides this...

I'd delete and started this quest one more time, because last time
I did grab the arrow on first place , the bow was the second I get
the I thought if doing things the opposite way may work...!" didn't work!!
this time first grabbed the bow from level3 part-2, then I went to get the arrow
same thing, the fairy say something about a cupid's arrow"
is a white arrow, the I grabbed it, and all looks OK , even the sound works!
but nothing, don't go into my others items and I can't select or use the bow
since there's a manhala on the middle of level3 I can't go any further no way to kill it without arrows

It looks like the bug causing this quest to be unplayable beyond 1.90 has been fixed in the latest, unreleased build. (source (http://www.shardstorm.com)) So once we get a new build I'll play through the quest again and release an update if needed.

Sorry, but that's all I can do for you for now... I'm always willing to go out of my way to help somebody playing my quests. I tried my darndest, but 1.90 and 1.84 just aren't Vista / XP friendly, at least for me...

Still don't believe it...!!
I've played and re-played this quest with the proper version zc1.90
and the only bug is with the arrow...!!!!
everything else work perfect
how C'om ..??!!?

BUG!!. at the dungeon end the fairy give the arrow, and you take, but never happen to go into the inventory, just banish and that's it!

I'm trying to help you, my friend. The latest build fixes the original bug but creates another! So I'm in a bind until then... unless I go ahead and make changes so that it works under Build 758. That'll take some time though.

Hi! thanks Apha.. since the only problem was with the arrow, I downloaded and started playing,, but, this arrow location changed???
I went into that dungeon but found the candle instead???

The candle has always been in the first mini-dungeon (two screens west of where you start) and the arrow has always been in the second mini-dungeon (northeast of the graveyard).

The best order for taking on the dungeons is Level 1, MD 1, Level 2, MD 2, Level 3, MD 3, Level 4, MD 4, and then Level 5. You don't need the bow and arrow until midway through Level 3.

Don't know if this happen to any other player...
this new version 2.5 is heating up my processor somewhat
few seconds after game start the fan for cooling the Pentium, its warps up!
and stay at high speed as long as the game is on
this never happen with any other version like v1.90 v.210 etc etc
is this normal or there's a way to calm down this fan??

Is it only when you're playing ZC when it speeds up? Does it happen in any other programs or games? What's your computer's specs?

well the computer don't fail or make any unusual symptoms
but I can hear the Pentium fan to work faster
this happen just with this v2.5
2.10 works and worked perfect since long time ago
all other ZC version working great!
I means no offense to none one. but helluva" I got one of the best PC on today market
P4 3.0gb -500mb -250 gb etc, I know is a good one, never fail
