I just moved up to 758 from 718.
How do I get the fullscreen I had before?

Right click on the ZQ shortcut, go to "Properties", and type in "-small" under "Target". That should do it

If you want to open ZQuest in fullscreen mode, wouldn't you type in -fullscreen, rather?

Amaster's worked.
I tried -fullscreen earlier and it wouldn't work like it used to.
Anyway I have it how I like it now, had me worried I was going to have to go out and get a 26 inch monitor

You typed in -small to make it fullscreen? Where have I been during the last few days? (Oh, that's right, playing SimTheme Park.)

No, look at the difference in the GUI between the two screenshots above.
I could get it fullscreen just by clicking fullscreen in options but it had the different appearance.

The abomination of mankind that is the "after" GUI is called Large Mode, which DD was enough of an ass to make the default instead of the old one. Just add -small to the shortcut to get it back to the old version.

-large mode has actually been around for a while. It just wasn't until just recently when DN fixed what he started a year or so earlier. The newer -large mode is actually based upon a mockup submitted by myself, mostly updated for the sake of screen editing convenience and efficiency. If your monitor doesn't support 800x600 resolution or greater, then I suppose it would be a really big problem. I've used ZC Launcher to get to ZC, but I believe Deviance/Sean hasn't quite gotten to switching the toggle box...

...Or DN could change it back to accommodate to low-resolution monitors.

I just recently got a replacement CRT monitor (my brother's old monitor) for my dead pixel-ridden LCD monitor. It doesn't like running at 85 Hz at 800x600, so I can't use large mode in full screen.

That was me, not DD. You're welcome btw

Also, if your monitor can't support 800x600 resolution, you've got far bigger problems than running ZC. It's not feasible to keep catering to the lowest common denominator.

I agree. These days, honestly? When I do web-work, I don't target smaller than 1024x768.

Besides, the Large mode is chock-full of awesome and efficiency. I can look at several parts of a tileset at once, and the hot-buttons are a god-send.

Edit: These are the stats from my website, in regards to screen size:

1. 1024x768 39.90%
2. 1280x1024 17.72%
3. 1280x800 13.16%
4. 1440x900 11.23%
5. 1680x1050 5.80%
6. 1152x864 3.65%
7. 800x600 3.09%
8. 1400x1050 1.37%
9. 480x272 1.27%
10. 1280x960 1.22%
...
22. 640x480 0.03%

Apart from odd sizes, which are likely non-applicable devices, less than 5% of people (who hit my site) use 800x600 or lower. Most use something much larger.

Mine supports it, but the mini map and text even in full screen is so small it's a pain in the butt using it.
Like I said above, I would probably like it just fine with a 26 inch monitor, but I have a 17.
With the addition of the -small it's back to where I was using it before, so what's the harm.
I'm running 1024x768 by the way.

Really? I have a 17, and text and stuff is fine on mine.
Maybe it's your resolution?

Yeah. Mine looks fine on 17 as well. On both CRT and LCD. I use windowed, too.

I run 1280x1024, BTW.

Maybe you need glasses or something. Then again, I do tend to lean in so I'm only 4 inches away from the monitor, but I have been doing that since I was 5 or 6. But even from a foot away from the monitor, I can still read it, although it's a little easier to read on a square pixel matrix. (rather than hexagonal which overlaps and blurs)

I didn't say I couldn't read it, it's just a pain in the butt being that small, you really have to look at the mini map to get the screen you want, and I use that a LOT so putting my nose on the screen to see it when I'm used to it the other way just kinda sux is all.

One thing I think people don't know for some reason is that the current large mode design is NOT final. We'll be working on reworking all the dialogs and such to take advatage of the space. This includes making some of the previously smaller UI elements larger and more functional. Editing the ZQuest GUI is pretty easy, if not a bit tedious, so it'll be an ongoing incremental project while we also work on fixing the remaining nagging bugs in ZC.

Just out of curiosity Freedom, any chance you could Print Screen large mode and link to it full size somewhere? I want to see weather there's an actual difference or only opinion on "small".

That second screen above I reduced by 50% in paint shop pro, you can blow it back up and see exactly what I see.
