Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, has died...

I can't believe that I learned of this on AGN...

BTW...Dungeons and Dragons is one of the reasons that geekdom as most of you know it EVEN FUCKING EXISTS...you should all be in mourning right now.

I am.

I heard.

:( Tis a sad day for us DNDers...(well...I am a former player, but that's just due to lack of time). May his legacy live on for centuries to come!

*salutes* Ye shall be missed, maker of the most awesome fantasy gaming thing in existance!

*fires a 21 fireball salute*

I'm more of a Magic afficiando myself, but still...

The guy started a cultural revolution, and unlike the hippies, it still thrives today.
Rest in peace man...

You know, he lived right near me, just a county or two over. That feels...weird.

You know, most modern RPGs, and pretty much every MMORPG is based on DnD. Dungeons and Dragons is even quoted in Diku Mud, which is intern quoted in SMAUG. Guys a legend, and absolutely incredible for helping put together the insane amount of statistics and knowlege base that he did.

Interestingly enough, Sute showed me an LOLCAT picture today mentioning him.

I heard about this. It's sad.

I kind of want to take my dice and make a little monument.
