I know you're tired of Z1 remakes, but graphics shouldn't count.
Items. This isn't updated, since by now most have changed to be more accurate:

Link, and Zelda. Ignore the "in honor of" thing, as it turned out to be false:

Those look very realistic (but not too realistic, which is a good thing)! Great job on them.
I have to ask, why the Metroid?

...wow those are freaking swee...what the hell is a Waddle Doo doing in there? 0_o
I have to ask, why the Metroid?
Here is a quote from Pure ZC (well, at least what I can remember of it": "Let's see who can guess what three game those tiles in the upper right corner are from." Obviously, they are Mario, Metroid, and Kirby.

Hmm... Linkus...
First off: Wow... you made somthing in honor for me? That is awesomely nicely done of you! Thanks! Now, I'm sorry that it turned out to be false... but those tiles are still freaking awesome!
So... my original question: Are we allowed to use? Because if we are.... :P

This could be an arrogant remark or a remark of self-horror, depends how you look at it, but I'm starting to think I set some sort of standard for how Z1 Link is supposed to look. :P sorta dwarfish and highly adorable.

niiice but why did you put a super mushroom, waddle doo(who looks awsome by the way) a metroid, and a red thing that looks like one of those ghost from pacman?

Eh? I thought I replied to this...
Ah well. "Concept" is the key word here, as I'm trying to keep within the concept art of the original Zelda and the game's graphics.

swordskid, I think you're looking at the top of the first image, not at the bottom. We're all focused there.

Sorta like this?

I think they match up pretty good. Just don't forget you're working with children.
Here's the items in concept, as well.

The items are fairly good, with the exception of those keys, and that Ocarina...
I really dislike those Link tiles though. The colors look really mashed into each other and it's hard to tell what parts of Link are what. Usually seamlessness is good, but here it just makes everything look really messy.
I hate to say it, but I agree with Revfan for the most part
Overall, the items are really nice. However, those Link tiles are a different matter. They're not bad, but I'm going to be honest, they look like they were poorly drawn to begin with, then shaded really well. Link looks disfigured in a lot of them, and he doesn't seem to have legs of any sort. The attacking frames, specifically, look like he's just putting his sword out and yelling; Not really putting any effort into his attack
I will say this, however. The shield tiles, though I'm not sure why he's holding it like he does in the right-facing frames, are very nice

I really like those items. I'll have to use them in my quest, if we're allowed, that is... :P
As for the 4 items from other games, I believe the red eye-ball thing in the item sheet is fom Kid Icarus.
