Sensitive Warps and Singular Flags

I never understood how these work. Anyone want to explain?

Sensitive warps warp Link as soon as one pixel of his sprite steps onto them.

Singular flags just fail.

Damn.

Well the probably do somehow, but I've never had any luck with them.
Scripting's much easier than some of these strange features.
