If this actually works it might put the condom companies out of business. You could use one wash it out and wad it up to fire the bonds back up :)

Now that's certainly interesting. I can think of several uses already. As for the problem of quick Hydrogen bonding, well, in theory that's somewhat simple to fix. Just probably not worth the effort.

For sure this is going to be a key ingredient when killer robots take over the world or something. Anything not living that can heal itself shouldn't be trusted.

Look, as we all know, the biggest key ingredient to killer robots is coltan, but John Connor, his mom and that hot good killer robot are taking care of that problem.
