I've been engaged for about 5 years, going to finally get married today.

Is this the end of my life or the beginning? Half empty or half full?
Shouldn't be any different than it is now.

There are definitely ups and downs, but overall, you should definitely be more happy.

:P I have terrible luck with girls (mind you, I'm five years behind everyone else already. Stupid all-boy high school.) Every girl I even have the SLIGHTEST interest in already has a guy. And If I REALLY like the girl, I find out just seconds before I ask them out. (when I found out that one girl was engaged, I did a mental Headdesk. At least We're still good friends, but man...That wasn't funny)

I am engaged. Normally, I think marriage is stupid and I would never, ever get married. However, my girl is exceedingly cool. She is low maintenance, fun to be around, enjoys video games, we workout together, she plays the drums... it's like having a friend that I can have sex with. Marriage is an acceptable compromise to keep that.

My first marriage lasted from Dec 16, 1978 - April 17, 1986.

2nd marriage started July 9, 1994... it'll be 14 years this year. My best advice... remember to respect each other... even when you have fights. :)
