Spent a few hours working on beating Mario in under 6:21 on a NWC reproduction cartridge, because the manual claimed something special would happen.

I think i'm going to have a shirt made with the castle, flag and some fireworks, and have it say fireworks are for faggots underneath it all in a mario font. Someone else is probably better suited than I to make the design though.

The outburst at 5:47 is excitement for finally beating it with a decent run after trying all night.

Cool video. If you're a big fan of the original game, you should track down a copy of Super Mario Bros Deluxe for GBC. It has a lot of fun challenges that really make you appreciate the game (even more)

One of the challenges that I remember is beating Bowser with fireballs in every world. (previously I didn't know you could even do that). In one of the later levels (level 7 I think) you have to hold onto a fire flower for 2-3 stages in a row or something in order to do it cause there are no mushrooms at all. And those levels are not easy.

btw, you only get fireworks if you have 1, 3, 6, or 9 as the last digit on the clock. So you could probably cut your time down some by making sure you don't get fireworks.

I just realized that the Mario blocks and the Zelda blocks are the exact same graphic.

Yeah, definitely 1,3, 6. For 1, you get one firework, for 3, you get three, and for 6, you get six. Hadn't downloaded/played Lost levels, except on All Stars.
