after a quick search of google i was surprised about the underwhelming amount of info i could find on it, so id lke to ask anyone here who has used it some of the questions i have about it.

1. does hd loader have an official website?
2. whats is the latest version?
3. is it true it is compatible with a 1TB hdd?
4. does the hdd have to be blank or can it be one also used on a pc?
5. when saving games onto the hdd do they have to be ntsc-u games
or can they also be ntsc-j, pal, or even dvd+r backups?
6. is it possible for games downloaded from pc to be transfered to the ps2,
and is there a detailed walkthrough about it somewhere?

Goto www.ps2hd.com/list

They have a compatibility list there. It's very nice.

I think the current version is 0.8b. Personally I've found version 0.7c plays the same games just as well.

It probably is compatible with 1TB IDE hard drives. However you should know that if you have more games on your hard drive the longer it takes to load up the HDLoader menu. So I wouldn't bother with a 1TB hard drive. Remember, most games are at most 4.7GB or so.

The hard drive will be formatted on the PS2. As long as the drive is functional, it doesn't matter what was on it.

You can put any region games on your HD, it doesn't matter. Yes even backups. But there's one thing to remember. Your PS2 will not read "backups" without a swap trick or modchip. So you'd have to install the game from the network connection or the drive in a PC.

Yes there is a way to do that. Check the website.
