scripting how-to's ?

hiya ^^
i was curious.... since i'm ready to start scripting:
which versions support it
what kind of syntax does it have
can i get an object guide?
am i going to have to re-invent the wheel? (joking :P)
how do you import the scripts to your game.... and what format do they have to be(please god let it be plain text).

i'd really appreciate answers to any/all of those :D

AGN's Scripting forum (http://www.armageddongames.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1154) should hopefully help you out. That's all the information I can give since I know approximately 0% to 0.1% about scripting.
