Who's willing to place bets that it will either hit the U.S. or Iran?

Me. With out luck, it will probably land right in front of the ruler of Iran's house or something. Either that, or it will crash into the Capital Building here.

I didn't realize man-made satellites need power to stay in orbit.

I can just see the NY Times headline "Satellite To Destroy Earth: Women and Minorities Hardest Hit" I also will bet that Taco Bell will put a 4x6 bullseye in the ocean somewhere. I hope it hits there. I want a free taco!

Well I am sure this is #1 on NASA's priority list now so they will think of something. There is always a good chance it will just crash into an ocean so let's hope it doesn't become worse than it sounds.

It's comforting to know that they're "monitoring the situation" and not so much organizing methods to stop it before it hits. Glorious!

I'm sure they are looking at ways to stop it but on the other hand they don't want to blow it to pieces. There is a lot of information they want to try and save.

You'd think that they would be more interested in saving a lot of people/buildings first, right? Naww...

I'm still insanely impressed that these things don't just crash into each other constantly up there, since every weather channel and radio and TV and internet and all that has 'em now.

It's obviously going to land in the ocean and cause that big Cloverfield monster to attack NYC.

No, it will obviously bring some alien virus down, and will have an invasion of body snatchers. :D

Woah, what? I heard this on the news this morning, but I thought it was just a joke. I guess not. :(

... Who's willing to bet that it won't actually hit us until 2012?

December 23rd, 2012, to be exact.

I'm posting too much in this thread. [leaves]
