Sword Sprites Flashing?

I'm trying to make my sword sprites flash.

I'm not having much luck.

I've set the tile, and what I have checked is:
Flash CSet: 9
Misc. Type: 1
Auto Flash: X
2P Flash: X

And I've also tried:
Flash CSet: 9
Misc. Type: 1
Auto Flash: O
2P Flash: X

And:
Flash CSet: 9
Misc. Type: 1
Auto Flash: X
2P Flash: O

And none of them seem to make any flash at all.

This is for the actual stabbing sprite, not the subscreen sprite.

I think this is a bug, I might just go post it in beta bugs.
