Anyone here got GoW for PC or plan to get it soon? I know most of you are scared of the Xbox 360 but you're bound to have a PC. I'm just looking for people to play with. I've made a level for it too.

Considering the fact that its been about a week and my Half-Life 2 [+ Gary's Mod] torrent is just about at 97% done...

...I may possibly pick it up soon...

Looks nice but I can't afford the video card it'd take to play it on the PC. As soon as the price drops on the 360 version I'll have to pick that up instead.

Can you afford 80$? I bought a GeForce 7600GS for 80$ and that's all I needed. Requires are a Intel cpu at 2.4ghz or a AMD rated at 2.0ghz, 1GB of RAM, and atleast a GeForce 6600 or Radeon X700. That's actually pretty reasonable these days. NewEgg.com has good deals on computer parts. You'll get a better deal these days if you have PCI Express. I still have AGP.

Why on earth would you get the PC version over the 360 version if you had the choice?

You like PC better than Xbox 360, and spend more time on the PC maybe

I dunno, the game was designed for Xbox 360. And I've heard bad things about the PC version (especially multiplayer).

It seems to me, unless it's a game that really just works better on the PC (i.e. FPS, RTS, etc), you are almost always better off with a console version since it can be optimized to the console rather than taking its chance with the bazillion different PC hardware combinations. It's really rare that a new PC game runs as well as a console game. Even Half-Life 2: Episode 2 has a few spots with bad lag on my pretty decent PC (which still baffles me because HL2 vanilla runs perfectly fine and they didn't do THAT much to it). Especially when you're talking about a game designed for the consoles, seems like a no-brainer.

Well lts see.. Higher resolution, Higher detailed textures, shadows, etc, DirectX 10, Custom maps, custom unreal scripts, potential for faster loading, potential for much higer framerates.

On the Xbox 360 the game is capped at 30fps, and will drop below that in intense times which isn't uncommon. On the PC you will see much higher framerates even on an average PC in non-complex scenes. On a PC with a more powerful card you could see 60fps all the time, much smoother than the 360.

While the 360 version is very good and solid, the PC version is just as good and better. That and lots of people seem to be afriad of the 360 but do have a good pc. As I mentioned the requirements are pretty low really. Besides Warlock, I still don't think you even have the 360 version of Gears. You need to get it so I can spank you.

If they'd release a demo I might consider it. But I don't have the time to rent it and I'm honestly not that interested in it.
