Hidden caves

In the original Zelda there were hidden caverns that held stores, treasures, etc. You got to them by burning bushes or pushing rocks. I've verified some of the 1st quest locations on old maps I've got, but they aren't there in ZC. Do these exist in this game? I'm using the linux version if that makes a difference.

They should be there, unless there's a bug in the Linux beta you're using.

Which cave in particular seems to be missing?

Are you trying to push blocks without the power bracelet?

Also don't forget when burning bushes to stand far enough away so the flame ends on the bush or sometimes it won't burn it at all.
