Some of you know I am the proud poppa of a two year old, some don't. But I just had to share this beautiful picture with the group.

His name is Austin James, and I'm pretty sure he'd rather not know that all the presents he's going to get tomorrow come from the creepy guy in the red suit.

Santa looks thrilled with the screaming kid in his lap, eh? Reminds me of "A Christmas Story".

You'll shoot your eye out, kid!

Wow, I love Santa's expression there. Kind of a mix between "I want this kid off my lap, but won't show it because it's part of the job" and "Laugh, Mr. Cameraman. I just dare you". A hint of "Ye gods, what time is it?" as well.

That's the most amazing picture I've seen in a good time (perhaps since Breaker's pic of Nanook with a teddy bear in his mouth (http://i19.tinypic.com/7202f4l.jpg)).

I'm sure these mall Santas get this all the time, though.

That first one was hilarious. The second one is almost as good, Santa looks a little sketchy though. What exactly is he reaching for? And why is Bert hanging by his hair from a curtain?

*sighs* I can answer that. It truly is a *shakes head* sad story...
You see, the last child who screamed on Santa's lap, well, *shudders* he was egg-headed and finnicky. And he complained all day long about how "this wasn't right" and "that wasn't right" and screamed because Santa didn't look real. So Santa used his magic to turn the boy into a puppet and now *sobs* he appears every day at 10 to talk to kiddies with his other puppet friend.

And Santa hung a doll of him up in the curtain as a warning to other children. That grasping gesture is him invoking the magic he obtained from his deomnic pact 5000 years ago. Too bad your kid didn't listen Zaphod. Any day now...
