How exactly does gravity work in sideview. If the gravity is set at .16 (default), how fast does Link fall (pixels/frame). I'm try to get FFC's to mimic gravity and I want them to fall exactly like Link.

L would know the full details, but I believe gravity is just an acceleration - each frame, the object's downward velocity increases by the value of gravity, until the object reaches a maximum terminal velocity.

Does it affect in normal view?

Only falling sprites (ie if you set an item to fall from the ceiling) and Link's jumping.

We need a combo that ignores the gravity rule, so Link can walk up stairs to leave such areas.

There is a script to do this. Pmnfrk just wrote it. Check the scripting forum.

A script is not a ZC default. I'm not asking for a script.

If you want a built-in combo, ask again after 2.50. For now, use the script.
