is there something i should know about broken PS2's?

so ive been on eBay recently looking for a non-slimline PS2 to mess around with a bit and i noticed the high demand for broken PS2's. it seems absurd that there is such a rabid market for broken merchandise. do broken PS2's possess some sort of super cool super rare stuff im not aware of? i want one now!

Because everyone and their mom trys to buy cheap PS2s to repair, for parts, or to use with HDLoader. You're better off looking elsewhere for broken/cheap used PS2s. I'm serious, tons of people try to buy PS2s to repair.

yeah im definately not paying $40 for something broken. im going to get one to use HD Adance though
