Everyone believes Sonic 3 and Knuckles was the best ever because after that it was turd after turd. Sure Sonic Adventure was impressive on the DreamCast early on but it was mainly the graphics and seeing Sonic in 3d. But the gameplay stinks. S3K was the best it ever got. I recommend checking of the Knuckles in Sonic 1 ROM hack if you want more Sonic fun.

Not a fan of the style in that pic, but it looks pretty sweet anyway. A bit too 'gritty' I guess. Sonic game graphics have always excelled when they relied on simple, solid color schemes.

Sadly, something like this would probably never come to fruition :(

What do you mean? I have no idea when the mockup was made, just that it was posted recently so I thought to make a topic about how they need to make another REAL Sonic the Hedgehog game. Opposed to the trash they make now.
