I cannot find my way around Level 1. All routes blocked. I do have the candle. Anyone have any suggestions.

Open level 1 entrance with the candle In level 1 you will find the bow and the arrow use it on the grey statues in the overworld.

Hello, I need some help. I cleared the first 2 dungeons pretty quickly but now I'm having trouble in Level 3 (southeast corner of the map). I have yet to obtain the boomerang and candle in this level but I think I need the hookshot to do so because i've been running around for hours without result. I know it's in the overworld somewhere but can't find it. Where is it? Can anyone help me? :|
