I did not want to detract from Lost Isle's initial advertising, so I never did make a 'release' thread for this quest which was released at around the same time as Lost Isle and uses the same Lost Isle build, which you can find in these links:

And for our lovely mac users: http://www.sephiroth.ws/ZC/Lost-Isle-Build-Mac.zip

For a description of the quest:
Hype Description:
This is a complete re-envisioning of Hyrule the way it was meant to be. Old places look new and unfamiliar, dungeons you have scoured many times in the past no longer bear the same treasures or the same design. Secrets that were once common knowledge have been lost and are hidden in new locations. The entire world has changed and you have to change with it if you want to survive. This is Legend of Zelda: Origin.

Developer Description:
Despite people commonly dismissing many remakes or revamps or in this case, re-envisioning of the original Zelda quests, this goes far beyond what you have ever seen for the 1st and 2nd quests. First off straight from the get-go you have a choice to either start the 1st or the 2nd quest in the same quest file. There is also an option for a 3rd xtreme quest after beating the second or straight from the get-go for those insane Gung-ho players. To top it off, you have selection of choice for which dungeons you want to play over the course of Xtreme 3rd. Three Quests in one, can you handle it?
Massive changes with everything built from scratch. Heart containers on the overworld are now divided into 15 HC Pieces, the remaining 5 scattered across mini-games which you must win to acquire them. New secret locations, new cave systems, new dungeon layouts that do not conform to the original in anything but shape, every single item in ZC is utilized and can be acquired, a new Dome of Trials has opened up in the world, the ability to save Zelda in a variety of ways and finally a special bonus challenge for those who manage to complete Xtreme 3rd. This is everything you've been wanting to see for the originals, but never saw previously in any quest thus far. This is Origin.

And now for some screenies:

This way, we can consolidate all 'questions' for this quest into one thread without people making a bunch of them for it. Enjoy!

Just want to say, I love this quest! It has good music, the dungeon layouts are perfect, it has a grand pverworld, and I only get stuck on a boss for about a month, verses the two moths I'm stuck in bosses in other quests.:). I'm on the level 4 one right now. I don't have any magic, so I always get hurt going over the spikes by the entrance. And whenever I goto the bottom of the screen, I accidentally get stuck on the stepladder.

in the Lost Hills maze in the northern part of the overworld is a blue tree, burn it to find level 4.

How do I advance in level 5 of the first quest in the room with the beamos and the gibdos. I figured to bomb the beamos, but now I don't know what to do with the pushblock that appeared.

not really the right place... but remember where the 1st quest level 5 is? It's near there, but you'll need the bracelet.

I've been enjoing this quest a lot, but I'm already stuck on level 4. I get to the room soon after entering where you can drain the water in the previous room, but that doesn't seem to serve any purpose.

Where is the hookshot in this quest? It seems like I need one already.

The hookshot is in the 5th level. You get the Boots in the 4th.

Alright, this is probably due to me playing a non-recommended build, but...

Just tell me if there is supposed to be a key in that stairway. Because I'm not seeing one.

Where are the boots in level 4? I've gone through a few times and haven't found them.

Okay, maybe i'm just stupid, but i am stuck in 1st quest level 2...

The room on the right of the boss door has this block-puzzle in it, with one of the blocks being dark, but i need to move it out of the way to proceed. I tried all the items i got on it and the surrounding (bow&arrows, bombs, boomerang, candle). I thought that maybe i need the bracelet, so i went to get it, but it didn't help me out either. How do i move this block out of the way?

please help!

go further to the room just before the boss room, beat all enemies there, get the magical boomerang, then go back and strike that odd contraption in that block puzzle room to reveal the true nature of that unmoveable block.

-------------------------- START LONG BANTER --------------------------

Currently playing the first quest. Through the dungeons from 1 to 8, the only outside help I've looked at was BowserBlanchette's video playthrough of the 6th dungeon of the 1st Quest (Pure ZC forums). I did this to find out how to get to the treasure chest 1 screen west of the entrance (It contained the Lens of Truth). Through the overworld, many grottos uncovered, all bomb and magic upgrades found, Dome of Trials completed, and all heart pieces collected, sans one: The heart piece from the Wand mini-game.

In Kakariko Village, one screen north of the starting location, the Bomb mini-game was blasted. To the southwest in the Lost Woods, in the SW boundary of the overworld the Boomerang game was tossed aside. In the Death Mountain range, 5 screens west of the Lost Hills, the Candle game was burnt to the ground. Somewhere in NE Hyrule, one screen south of the NE corner of the overworld, the Arrow game was brought down with precision. But now, I am stumped.

I have searched the overworld once and once more again, but alas, no such luck in finding the Wand game. I do not want to quit another quest of DFW's again because of this small fault. During my 53 days without Internet, I played, thoroughly, the Hidden Duality: Director's Cut, without help (exception of finding the White & Magic Swords) until I got to level 8. Tragically, my quest ended prematurely shortly after getting the Zora's Flippers.

I wanted to Save and then Continue, but I was forever trapped in a room, never able to see Link or escape from the room. This is what happens when you try to play a [1.92 b183] quest on ZC 2.10 and ignore the possible glitches that can happen. I deleted the quest shortly after. I did the same to Lost Isle when I got fed up with trying to look for the second key in Level 2: Sky Gardens.

--------------------------- END LONG BANTER ----------------------------

If you didn't want to read all that banter, here's my question: What are the locations of the 5 mini-game places? I've found the ones in Kakariko Village, the Lost Woods, in NE Hyrule, and the one in Death Mountain range, but I can't find the fifth one.

In its the far northwest in the snowpeak area. Look for areas you can go further west via behind some trees.

....Well it's no wonder why I thought I ran into that location before. I did, but I either didn't have the wand or not enough magic upgrades (I forget which). I swore there was another mini-game area in the Death Mountain range when I wandered around the overworld without saving, but it just bugged me that I couldn't find it again. Thank you.

Up to The Red Mile dungeon in 2nd quest. I gotta hand it to you, you really know how to tick off a player with the placement of traps, Wizzrobes, Like-Likes, fireball spawns, etc in The Cowl. With that done:

This is more of a question about the Zelda Classic Lost-Isle-Build program. Ever since I had downloaded it like, oh say, September of last year (I had no idea), I've been forced to play it on Fullscreen mode. Is it possible to play it in a windowed mode?

DarkFlameWolf

-windowed on command line I believe.

I'm having a problem with the cave where I assume you get the potion letter.
I can usally figure out block puzzles pretty fast, but I've been stumped on this one for nearly an hour.

It's the cave two west of the arrow minigame, the one you take a ladder to.

I could use some help, thanks.

Okay, this is probably a stupid question.. something simple I'm missing. But, what can I say? 1st quest.. 1st level.

I can't seem to find a key. I've got the boom, and got to see that I need a boss key as well. But can't seem to progress up that middle line of rooms where I assume the boss key and bow are. In that one room to the left of the third row up...that rooms looks to be the room where I 'should' get a key. but nothing happens when I kill all the guys. There is an 'eye' statue there but no bow to shoot it with?

I don't have the bracelet yet? Is that my problem? Though I have no idea what I would have to push.

Anyway.. HELP? lolol I'm loving this Lost Isle Build! I hope to see MANY more guests made for it. I can't believe I finally got a gliche free build (first try) with great graphics!!!!!! Great job people!!
