Hi,

I just downloaded and installed Zelda Classic 2.10W for Windows32-XP
I am finding that the Key Buttons Settings...
Button Key A & B, L & R and Map
Have no effect.
No key on the keyboard seems to work (to operate the
Sword, Treasures, etc.)
Start [Enter] works; Escape works.
Settings -> Key Directions... Up, Down, Left, Right
[Arrow keys] do work on my platform.

Hp/Compaq nx9010 Model No. Cnx9010UP240X540WCg25P

2.4GHz Pentium4, 14.1-in. XGA, 4X AGP graphics, ATI Radeon IGP 345M(obility)

Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
Haven't tried using a joystick yet -- I do have a USB joystick, so I will try it.

Looking forward to the Linux and MacOS-X/Darwin ports!

Cheers,

Your A and B buttons are actually set to CTRL and ALT. If you go to the menu (press ESC to find it), you can find the options for the keyboard settings and change them to anything you want. Just make sure you don't accidentally map two things to the same key. ;)
