What beta do you suggest using?

I need to use something past 2.10, But i dont know which beta is the most stable to build a quest in.

I havent been building quests in a while and need to know the best build so far.

Beta 254 (http://www.zelda.sjnetwork.net/alphabuilds/254-windows.zip) is a popular beta. There is already a quest on the QDB that uses it, and it works very well.

Or, I truly suggest that you wait until 2.5 is polished off and finalized. It shouldn't be too long now...

Dude, why does everyone alway's say use 254. I'm still using 584 'cause it's so awesome. Reasons for:

Alot more new features
Streamlined scripting engine and fps(it runs smoother)
Many bugs fixed since 254
Did I mention new fearures? ....and not too buggy?

I stopped downloading betas after 461, so I have no idea what's going on up there. I suppose that I jumped the bandwagon by saying 254. So basically I have no idea.

Well this is how I see it 254 is good, 260+ through 550ish you don't want, and 579 and 584 are good. Most the crash bugs have been fixed(if not all), and if it crashes post a bug report and it should get fixed quickly, as they have priority.

Again the big problem with 254, if you use this beta, you will have to reset all your item properties for your quests to be playable in the final version of 2.5 because of the overhaul that was done after that release. If you go with a more recent version, not only will you not have to worry about that, but you can also help catch any other bugs so 2.5 can get out sooner.

Most of the bug fixes lately have been minor issues. You should be able to build a quest fairly easily in the latest build without running into any major problems. Just be aware that no matter what build you use that it's a BETA and it is possible that some features could be adjusted or scrapped before a final release. Either way, I would go more recent if you want to use one of the builds.

I've been using 626. There aren't many bugs in it. (The main one is those dang eyeball combos are broken again.). Plus, it's Vista compatible. And it has so many new features. Like Pineconn said, 254 is good, but it is so out of date any custom enemies or items you make won't work with 2.5 when it is released.
