Last week, my fiancee's longtime dog, Taffy, died suddenly. Yesterday I found a stray cat by my house. We gave it some food and took it to the vet, but they had to put it to sleep because it had feline aids. :(

While we were at the vet's office, they showed us some kittens that had been brought in and abandoned. They were trying to give them away. My fiancee wanted to get a kitten, and I said that was fine with me, so we adopted two kitties; a white male named Skywalker and a black female named Vader.

So, without further ado, I give you Skywalker and Vader. Skywalker is 10 weeks old, and Vader is 7 weeks old.

OH OH!!! How adorable! I wish Paul wasn't so allergic to cats 'cause I'd SO have some if he wasn't. Ah well...

I like the choice of names too.

I love cats too. I have 3 cats. One of them likes to run around and find the most cluttered table and knock everything off and sleep on it.

My chem teacher, when talking about physics, likes to use examples with cats (such as throwing cats off of a building).

They look so scared in the pictures, they remind me of Snowball.

Give it a few weeks and those two are going to be terrorists. My kitten isn't really a kitten anymore but I still call her a kitten terrorist.

Cute kittens. I'm a HUGE animal person.

I have three cats of my own... I love cats. They're ridiculously cute, especially when in the kitten phase. :)

Check the white one for deafness. I had two cats a long time ago that were white with blue eyes. It's a sign of increased likelyhood for congenital deafness. Both of my cats were born deaf. Snowball and Flurries were their names. Flurries got squished by a car, a mishap which his deafness likely played a part in. Snowball ran away. I figure she died, and if so, the deafness likely played a part in it.

Yeah, we talked to the vet about this. She isn't deaf.

I really wish I didn't have cat allergies. I love cats and if I didn't break out if I am around them for longer than a couple hours, I would probably have one myself. They are adorable Beldaran.

Yeah not all white cats are deaf but a lot of people think they are. These are cute kittens and they look sci-fi! I got 2 tortoiseshell sisters a few weeks ago they're adorable.

Black cats are superior I like the black one.

Also I am allergic to the point that I'm surprised seeing the images didn't give me an asthma attack so even though I enjoy the company of certain kinds of cats more than certain kinds of people, the cats have the effect of literally making me sick while the people can only accomplish this metaphorically.

Indeed.

Actually, I've had several friends with black cats, and one of mine is black... the one thing I've noticed about all of them? They are assholes.

I don't know why, but black cats seem to be jerks. Unfortunately, they are also absurdly cute.

Yes.

Very cute kitties. I have a very lazy cat that will sleep anywhere except on people. Inside boxes, on top of objects, along the arm of the sofa, etc. But never on someone. She won't do it, and even if you pick her up and put her on you, she'll wander off. Grr. Still sweet though.

First off, that picture was constructed solely out of awesome. It's also terrifyingly accurate.

This morning our kitty, Skywalker, was found dead next to the litterbox. His urinary problems must have been something antibiotics and medicine could not cure. We think he had an irreparable kidney disorder. He was originally a nearly-dead abandoned kitten that someone found in a bucket, and we adopted him because he broke my heart with his little blue eyes and with the way he kept trying to climb onto my shoe when we met him. The vet had warned us that he might not be healthy. We took care of him as best we could.

He spent his last few days being happy, enjoying expensive wet food, playing with toys, and being loved by his owners. He purred constantly and was so nice to us.

We still have little Darth Vader, and we intend to spoil her rotten.

Aww Bel... I'm truly sorry (hug). I with there was more that I could say or do. At least the last few days of his life were the best he could have had. :)
