Full article (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070907/ap_on_re_au_an/bush_bad_day_at_theater_1).

Summary:

Bush shows up at the APEC summit in Australia.

Bush thanks OPEC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opec) for inviting him.

Bush thanks the Australian Prime Minister for the sacrifices of the Austrian troops.

Bush then nearly falls on his face as he walks off the wrong end of the stage.

I can't believe this retarded piece of shit is the president.

I can't believe this retarded piece of shit is the president.

But he protected us from gays, terrorist, gay terrorist, and those damned hippie liberals that wanted to make gay animal/human hybrids with their unholy stem cell research. Which, by the way, we all know comes directly from the devil whose Muslim, so we need to fight those damned Muslims because it's God's work! God's work I tell you!

BTW, I don't like Bush if you can't tell.

Just do what I do and pretend you're Canadian. It hurts less that way.

Didn't he do most of these things at a meeting somewhere in Japan once? Wherever it was, he tried to open some doors that weren't supposed to open that way.

Good lord this man is morbidly entertaining.

Oh my gosh. This is just too damn funny.

Talk about your massive mix ups. I hope for the sake of your country that he does not get re-elected.

And props to Trevelyan for revealing Bush's line of thinking. Probably not that far off.

*raises hand*

Question! What if we actually ARE Canadian?

I would like to know who you guys voted for in the 2000 and 2004 elections.

I voted for John Kerry in the 2004 and I wasn't old enough to vote in the 2000 election.

That is the worst parody name ever it doesn't even sound like the real thing (also his rank is Commander-in-Chief [actually the last part is kind of clever it has the same letters in the right order with other letters in the way I guess if you said it JUST right it would sound like "Bush" but you need work on the George part])

Also Pineconn I'd figure that most people with really bad opinions of Fearless Leader probably either voted against him or (taking this forum's demographic into account) were not old enough to vote. :toast:

George W is a moron. The sun also rises.

Personally, I wasn't old enough to vote in the 2000 elections, but I would have voted Gore had I voted. In 2004, I voted Kerry, but honestly I live smack dab in the middle of the Republican's southeast base, so I honestly don't know how much it mattered. I also voted in the 2006 elections as well.

I hope Captain Crunch runs as an independant for 2008.

As much as I dislike Bush for the way he does things, I must admit he is mildly entertaining. :kitty:

@ AtmaWeapon: Mm, toast.
@ Rijuhn: Mm, apple.
@ Mrz84: Mm, kitty.

Demographics aside (though a factor I totally forgot about when asking my question), the point I was trying to make was that you guys ("you guys" as in "America") voted for him, and now most of you hate him. Not once, but twice. So basically it's your ("your" as in "America's") fault if you don't like him.

Atma: "Retardo" described him much better than "George".

Pineconn: Over 50 million people voted against George Bush in 2004. It's not our fault that the other 55 million people are gullible and/or ignorant and/or braindead. You can't just blame it on all of us. There's really nothing we can do besides cast our one vote and hope for the best.

Yeah it's kind of silly to say that since he got the majority of votes, everyone in America supported him. The last two elections have been pretty close.

Maybe next time around the Democrats will send someone up to bat that people actually want to vote for? I'm pretty sure at this point the Republicans could run Jesus and fail to get enough support, but if the Democrats roll out another John Kerry the Republicans might actually have a chance.

(Holy crap, Beldaran, you have a 'reputation beyond repute'. How many points do you have now?)

Technically, Bush didn't even get the majority of the votes in 2000, Gore did (assuming my memory isn't failing me). But according to the electoral votes system, and some of the Florida voters' stupidity, Bush won.

Over 50 million people voted against George Bush in 2004. It's not our fault that the other 55 million people are gullible and/or ignorant and/or braindead.

According to Wikipedia, 39,920,562 people voted for Bush, and 44,754,618 voted for Kerry in the 2004 election. Assuming Wikipedia's estimates are correct, you are calling one particular group of people (which happens to be 13.3% of America's population), based on for whom they voted in 2004, gullible and/or ignorant and/or braindead?

And also, I was very wrong. It was 13.3% of America's decision that Bush should be president the second time. Thank you for correcting my horribly-implemented and very horrible logic. :p

Which wikipedia are you reading? According to the real wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._presidential_election,_2004#Election_results) , Bush won the popular vote in 2004, 62 million to 59 million.

So 59 million people voted against Bush, and 62 million people fucked us in the perverbial ass.

I have 2066 reputation points. They are like precious stones to me. I count them each night before I go to bed. I talk to them. I think of them wistfully on rainy days as my eyes probe the ethereal fog of this lonely Earth. I gaze into the stars at night, moved by the grandeur and mystery of the universe, and I gently sigh to myself... "2066...". Then I shed a small tear of happiness and go to bed. It keeps me going.

I would like to know who you guys voted for in the 2000 and 2004 elections.

In 2000 I voted for Gore, just like the majority of American voters, and Florida screwed us.

In 2004 I didn't end up voting because my registration was all screwed up. I changed it to my address at college but the change didn't go through and since I didn't know that, I didn't apply for an absentee ballot. I would have voted for Kerry, but Kerry won my state anyway so it was all good.

At least I know I am set for 2008. I already voted last year for other local elections so I know I am good to go.

Oh, wait. I was getting the facts from this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Election#November_2:_United_States). I was reading the first table, assuming that it was for presidency, but it was really for Senate. What threw me off was right above the table they have "United States presidential election, 2004" but this was only linking to the page you read from. My error. So, in short, ignore every post I made in this thread. :D

I don't function well on Saturdays.

I didn't want to vote either Kerry or Bush in 04, but that would leave only green party, and NOBODY GOES THERE. So, it was either retard, or ritardando'. Which one of the two has the shorter and thus easier to remember name? Exactly.

It's certainly an apt analogy. If voters were forced to elect candidates based on the candidate him/herself, rather then just voting for party X, people mighty actually think a little bit.

Then again, people would likely just vote for the guy with the best hair.

God I hate that man... You know, though, it wouldn't bother me so much if it weren't for the fact that the majority voted for him in 2004. That's just embarrassing. As for politics in general, I like the South Park analogy of every election being between a giant douche and a turd sandwich. Sounds about right. Politicians... God... They should all be thrown into the sun.
