Alrighty- When I set Zol/gel weapon to fireball or magic(maybe others-untested) it displays other things instead.
-Also the vertical firing of magic by gel displays the horizontal sprite.


Gel
misc1: if >0, it leaves trails of its weapon.

Zol
misc1: if >0, it leaves trails of its weapon.
misc2: ID of enemy to split into.
misc3: number of enemies to split into.

And setting misc 1 to 0 still doesn't fire a weapon...but I mentioned that elsewhere.

Not really a bug - the trail left by Zols and Gels have no direction, and many weapons (such as the ones you've mentioned) can only work correctly if they've been fired in a direction.

You might want to ask L about this bug; my opinion is to wait until 2.50 to deal with this limitation.

OK. thing is it works. Just that it's using the wrong sprites. My link seems to have died, the pic was of fireballs and magic using sprites a few tiles off.

_L_, is this set up to work currently? (minus the sprite bug)

That it's not set up to work correctly is not in question. Like I said, these enemies lay weapons with no direction. The weapons you are trying to use *must* have a direction, or else they will fire in an undefined way, animate in an undefined way, etc.

Rather, the question is if fixing Zols to correctly fire non-stationary weapons is feasible before 2.50.
