I can understand where some people might get irked with the song. My wife really doesn't like it that much. The part I like most about the song is the music behind the lyrics. The lyrics are okay, and I honestly kind of like the eh's, but the music is really fucking cool in my opinion. This is also coming from someone who normally doesn't like hip hop or R&B at all.

I wouldn't say that, you just aren't looking in the right places. I've been listening to some lesser known stuff like Rilo Kiley, Eisley, and Regina Spektor (who totally kicks ass). Rilo Kiley's album More Adventurous is really good, musically and lyrically speaking. Its kinda folky indie pop. Eisley is like a girly Radio Head. They're lyrics are a little sappy, but they're fun. Regina Spektor is a little more known these days, but all of her stuff is really REALLY good, but might not be for everyone. She's classified as Anti-folk, whatever that means.

The old Metallihead days of Sir Anthony are long gone...don't listen to metal much at all anymore. Now its girly indie stuff and alt rock...wierd.

Now if you mean the days of good popular music is gone, then I agree for the most part.

Most of the songs we're showing here are examples of stuff that is so much better than Rhianna's latest dirge, it's laughable. The point being that even the most childish, simplistic rubbish is more entertaining then listening to some nasal woman singing about a damned umbrella over and over again.
