How the hell do you make bushes?

How do you make bushes, any bush I add to my quest is slashable but after slashing the bush(combo) turns to black.

How do you layer it so it cuts like it should?

You need to set the under combo

select the combo you want to appear after the bush is slashed then goto
Data -> under combo -> set
use set all to use that under combo for all screens on the map
