All questions resolved.
In about a month or two this thread might die off the first page so let it =]

According to the tutorial which looks very outdated, you press + or - to change the colors.. that doesn't work.. so how do I?

Also..
It says to start a new game in Zelda Classic and choose the quest you made..
um..

How exactly do I play the quests..?

I find you have to use the + or - on the numeric pad. (so building on a laptop is annoying, switching back and forth with fn)
also, when you create a new quest, push the "A" (or whatever equivalent you've made for a via options), and "A" again.

To play the quest, first open up Zelda Classic. Register a new file. Then press "A" to open up info about the quest. Press "A" again to open an explorer box. Then just select your quest and start it up normally.

I selected the thing to make a new character and stuck a name in..

I pressed A before that, after that, in game..
I don't get it -.o

Just to clearify, a mean the "A" key for the ZC player (default key is ALT).

Yes, then you click the "Browse" box and pick your quest. It could be any quest you created, any quest that comes with ZC, or any quest you downloaded off ZC.com.

Also, I know the Golden Ring makes you receive like 1/8 of regular damage but what do the blue and red rings do?

Blue Ring - 1/2 damage
Red Ring - 1/4 damage

ok thanks, so there's no way for the rings to do nothing by any chance? o.O

...Why would you want them to do nothing?

I knew what they did... but I don't know at which point in the game I should make them available.

But I'm sure I'll think of something.

No, I don't believe there is a way to make them do nothing.

Just because green Link is so common.. and I don't want the game to be too easy.

I believe that you may edit Link's tiles in the Tile Editor and change the color to Blue or Red. Go to Quests>Graphics>Tiles or something to that effect... and I think you can edit them.

Oh yeah, you're right
I forgot I could just find the tiles that are used when you get the rings on.
thanks :D

Don't worry. But you might want to explain in your quest why the Hero's Clothes have spontaneously switched color.
