How do you use a raft in Zelda classic (NOT Z QUEST)

Assuming a quest has been properly configured in ZQuest, to use the raft in the ZC player is simple: just walk onto any dock and try to walk into the water off of the "deep end" of the dock. The raft will be used automatically.

To use the raft, just walk off a dock combo, and if they're raft flags after that to guide the raft, it should work.
But this should be in ZC Discussion, or ZQuest Editor Help. (I'm not all too sure.)
