In all the Gameboy Zeldas the swinging usually instantaneously switches to the frame where link sticks his sword in front of him.

In ZC he swings it slow and tediously.

A quest rule to fasten this up? Or maybe variables to time how long the frames are?

there is already a quest rule called "Quick Sword"

If I recall correctly, ZC's behavior is different than the Gameboy ones. The Gameboy slashes would end up in at LEAST the central diagonal slash phase, whereas if you rapidly press the slash Button, Link's sword would be perpendicular to his self most of the time.

Wrong idea.

I'm not saying to enable rapid fire or in techinical talk, allowing you to fire sword without a timer to time when you're allowed to swing again.

I'm talking about how fast his sword travels.

Questions, it's not the beam he's talking about. He wants a faster sword-swinging animation. "Quick Sword" only enables you to swing the sword before the first swing has been completed

To Do: Rename "Quick Sword" to something less misleading.
