I have had this thought for a while but I am wondering how many quest makers would find this useful or utilize a feature like this.

In more recent Zelda games, the low life heart beep doesn't occur at a fixed amount of life left. There is an adjustment for when it begins based on how many heart containers the player has at the time.

I think for some quests one heart may not be enough, especially when you are in a room with enemies that may take away 2 or more hearts per hit. How about allowing the quest maker to enter a minimum number of hearts to start the beep or a percentage of life remaining to give a warning a little earlier than the last heart remaining?

Or a combination of the two would suffice. Excuse the crude mockup but:

Heart Beep Hearts[____]
Heart Beep Percentage [____]

The Heart Beep will occur at either amount, depending on which is higher. For instance, if your maximum amount of hearts is 3, the Heart Beep Hearts is 1, and the Percentage is 15% then the percentage gives about a 1/2 heart, which is less than 1 therefore the heart beep will occur at 1 heart.

Thank you for adding that in beefster. You hit on exactly what I had in mind.
