Does it seem a little funny to anyone else that what looks like AGN's latest news on the front page starts out "Effective today, February 24, 2003"?

This is of course due to the official announcements being = the main page news. Is there some way around it/way to control it, though?

Just something odd I noticed :X

Maybe it was tweaked, ever so slightly?

I was thinking more in terms of fixing this sort of thing.

Is it because the TOS thread in Announcements was posted in recently?

To be perfectly honest, I'm a little less worried about that and more concerned with getting our old forum styles back.

It's all about priorities ;)

especially when that post was made in 2004... why post rules a year late?

They weren't. SUCCESSOR posted this (http://armageddongames.net/forums/showpost.php?p=1124915&postcount=39) which bumped it up.

My bad, yo!

But if it bugs anyone that much come up with something to say in a newer Announcement topic.

You mean the themes circa 2002/2003? When we actually had a large and growing selection of really different-looking stuff to choose from?

I miss that.

I was wondering that myself. Successor's post caused it to be bumped up on the main page because the news basically just shows the most recent OA posts in descending order, but that wouldn't be related to the original post being marked "2004".

I think that either it was a typo, or year-old rules were being copied and pasted for some reason. I'd wager the former.

This is due to a forum rule that can be changed in the AdminCP.

The rule causes posts in certain threads(or forums) to bump the threads to be considered new.

That reminds me: I miss General Bitching.

You'd so totally be made a bitch if it came back.

And it isn't going to. It isn't what this place needs.

I never said that it was coming back.

I was only made the bitch once in that forum, after that I bitched the people who started topics there.

How is it I make these uber long death posts and then intermix things so short and simplistic they border on spam? XD

^^Wait wait wait, what does that mean?

It could be said you've either been living under a rock, or that you actually have a life.

Oh, I see it now. I'm so glad that the connection didn't come easily to me.

And yes, you could say I somewhat have a life. But now that I've graduated, it's gonna be gone for a while until I go to college.

Wait - if this is the future, where are the flying cars? The silver spandex jumpsuits? The food pills? The moving sidewalks? The video communicators? The holographic TVs? The virtual reality? The interplanetary travel? All that shit?

Somebody screwed us over big time.
