View Full Version : I lost at court!

As most of you know, i've abandoned the computer/internet on a mission of self improvement. This is the first thing that's went wrong.

Anyone who was following the thread i posted 7 months ago regarding the woman who wrote off my car. She won. I've officially lost all faith in the legal system. I represented myself, and made her lawyer look like a complete fool. I had mountains of evidence to back up everything. The judge told me that the crash was definitely not my fault, but ruled against me anyway. What more can i do. Anyone who'd like to know what fully went on, you may expect that in the next week or two, but right now, i'm just too pissed off to even talk about it. The wrong person won, i'm out of pocket, and i'm going to Crown Casino to play some fucking cards. Later.

I've officially lost all faith in the legal system.

I truly understand how you feel.

If you have truly lost faith in the legal system, then you have still achieved your goal of self-improvement.

<hug> I'm sorry you lost hon. I've hated ALL court systems for years... especially since my divorce back in 1986. Wish I could make this better for you hon.

Oh and good luck at cards babe :)

Welcome to the real world - where justice is never served, and even on the rare occasions that it is, it's never anywhere near as severe as it should be. Judges suck, and criminals get away scot free to offend again. Welcome... to the UK. :p

Your own case totally sucks, and from what you say, there doesn't appear to be any real reason as to why you lost. I'd very much like to see the details of your case, just to understand what the hell happened. I don't suppose there's any chance of a retrial, or whatever they call it?

I see I'm not alone in thinking "justice system" is a bit of an oxymoron.

The judge told me that the crash was definitely not my fault, but ruled against me anyway.
Ok. That didn't make sense. (Not your fault, goKi)

What can I say but ... good luck at the casino.

He ruled against even though he personally admitted it's not your fault? d00d! That is seriously fusked up! You know, this is just another example of a legal system that jsut doesn't work anymore.

 ...and just how does that make sense?

You pwned her lawyer, had a ton of evidence to back yourself up, and even the judge sided with you...

Then why the hell did he rule against you?!? What, the woman's lawyer gave the judge an "under the table" gift, or what?!?

That's just absolutely stupid. I feel for you man, The justice system is so messed up nowadays that it should be re-named the injustice system.

Good luck at cards GoKi. Here's hoping you hit the jackpot.

I hope the same thing happens to her.

Hope you win a bunch of cash at the casino.

I'm currently on holididays across states right now, heading home tonight. I will make the details of what happened available, but the gist of why i lost is that there were two false testimonies (hers and a witness, both which i proved to be impossible outcomes) and the judge just couldn't ignore that. Apparantely ignoring a proven true story is much easier.

Thanks for your tidings of good skill for the Casino, i cashed pretty big. Nice weekend overall. She'll definitely get what she deserves, the world works that way. Maybe someone will crash into her.

I'm sorry to hear about that. Life is full of assholes who like to lie.

She will get what she deserves. You know, karma bitch. If I were in your shoes, I would find it difficut to forgive her, especially if I got treated like that in court. I'm also glad you won at the casino. I guess it sort of evens things out. You lost at court but you beat the house.

she probably fucked the judge to get it in her favor, the bitch.

...It's times like this we need Pheonix Wright...

But congrats on your cashing in at the casino. And with any luck, the woman is gonna have a head on collision with a kangaroo.

That sucks man but atleast now you know first hand that the "justice system" is an illusion. It goes to show that the truth and rulings of courts, judges, and jurys have absolutely nothing to do with eachother. But considering the idiots that makeup the "justice systems" we can't be that surprised.

Sorry to hear that, goki. Courts are no less full of shit here in the US.

Hey, why don't you go down to the coast, get one of those taipan snakes and put it in the briefcase with the settlement money? There isn't much those things can't handle...

Revenge isn't really necessary. Sure, i got screwed, but i'm going to be the bigger man and move along. Nothing can change the outcome.

Except maybe time travel, but if Bob and Geaorge has taught me anything, it is to say:"I hate time travel" and continue whatever it was I was doing at the time. :kitty:

Clearly the Australians have yet to invent the Appeals Court.

Sorry to hear the bad news Goki.
