If you haven't gone yet, check it out! Looks like every week they'll be spilling the beans about one one or two things in Brawl to painfully tease us and make us yearn for it more and more.

From what I noticed, it seems like the game will be played with the Wii remote used horizontally a la NES style...that was something I was still wasn't too sure about. :o

btw the new menu music is an awesome update of Melee's!!!

its funny how Wii has heralded the Wii remote as rennovating the way we play games, only to have to hold it like a normal controller for 90% of the wii games out there. Funny.

I know the icon looks like it, but I seriously doubt it will use the horizontal remote- you need some sort of control stick to do smash attacks, unless they completely changed that aspect of the game. It would work easily as a nunchuck game, or they could just use the classic controller (or heck, even include Gamecube controller support).

Man, that menu (http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/music/images/sound070522a.swf) music is going to be absolutely spectacular. I can tell that this is definitely going to be the motivating force behind me shelling out the money for a Wii. Of this, I have no doubt.

If only there wasn't so little on the page right now. http://www.purezc.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/icon_aggravated.gif

Woop-de-doo.

And I don't see why they can't make a control scheme for the wii-more and nunchuk. I can easily think of one. Use the joystick and buttons for moving, attacks, move either or both the nunchuk and the remote left, right, down, or up for smash attacks, or whatever you call them, and it should work.

Then again, I'm not a big smash bros. fan. I don't spend nearly enough time with it to enjoy it with the people that obsess over it.

They did a countdown for this?

You'd be amazed how many have set that page to their new homepage. When you spend all your time watching things like This (http://youtube.com/watch?v=CaH-mjPYSwc&mode=related&search=), I'd be amazed if you didn't.

You know, since it is a motion sensitive controller, you could easily smash using a quick jab in the proper direction. It sounds strange to me, that they won't use a joystick (it was used for lots more than smashing), but I trust that they'll take the franchise in a direction that's not downwards and flaming.

Actually the website says: "Smash Bros. DOJO Launches with Daily Weekday Updates!", which presumably means every weekday there will be an update of some kind, but of course I could be wrong about that (I guess we'll see in a few hours, eh?)

Regardless, I'm pleased that the website finally reopened. That music preview was very nice as well, but the list of the composers (http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/music/music01.html) that will be working on music in the game was far more appealing to me. :D

*looks at musicians* d00d! Kenji Ito! I loved the music from Romancing Saga! Let's not forget Yasunori Mitsuda and Yoko Shimomura. I am now more eager for Brawl to be released. :kitty:

Mitsuda is the man responsible for the Chrono games and Xenogears, no?

That's right. Man, that list is practically a "Who's Who in Videogame Music". This game is going to be awesome on the merit of soundtrack alone.
