It all depends on what she does today since today is her birthday (she won't stop reminding me about it). At least I know that no one would believe her rumors since no one really cares what she says and nobody likes her. I should be good unless she tries to overpower me, which she could, seeing as she weighs almost 30 pounds more than I do.

Glenn the Great

That could easily backfire. She might try to kill you along with herself.

Not a good plan.

It would still be two birds with one stone though ;)

My new favorite song is the theme song from "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego". I've been listening to it obsessivly.

i waited 2 weeks to go to the ER, where they drugged me heavily and took some CAT scans and sent me to a specialist. i was scheduled for surgery tomorrow, but it's finally moving around a little (that feels REAL good...yeah), so i asked them to postpone it another week. in the meantime, i stay on pain meds, and antibiotics (since i waited to long to go to the doctor, i was starting to develop an infection from where it'd been stuck in one spot for too long) and hope it comes the fuck out so they don't have to stick anything up my poor pee-pee. ow. i'd rather put up with the pain from the stone, thx.

Old Godzilla was hopping around
Tokyo City like a big playground
when suddenly Batman burst from the shade
and hit Godzilla with a Batgrenade
Godzilla got pissed and began to attack
but didn't expect to be blocked by Shaq
who proceeded to open up a can of Shaq Fu
when Aaron Carter came out of the blue

and he started beating up Shaquille O'Neal
then they both got flattened by the Batmobile
but before it could make it back to the Batcave
Abraham Lincoln popped out of his grave
and took an AK47 out from under his hat
and blew Batman away with a rat-a-tat-tat
but he ran out of bullets and he ran away
because Optimus Prime came to save the day

this is the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny
good guys, bad guys, and explosions as far as the eye can see
and only one will survive, I wonder who it will be
this is the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny

Godzilla took a bite out of Optimus Prime
like Scruff McGruff took a bite out of crime
and then Shaq came back covered in a tire track
but Jackie Chan jumped out and landed on his back
and Batman was injured, and trying to get steady
when Abraham Lincoln came back with a machete
but suddenly something caught his leg and he tripped
Indiana Jones took him out with his whip

then he saw Godzilla sneaking up from behind
and he reached for his gun which he just couldn't find
'cause Batman stole it and he shot and he missed
and Jackie Chan deflected it with his fist
then he jumped in the air and did a summersault
while Abraham Lincoln tried to pole vault
onto Optimus Prime, but they collided in the air
then they both got hit by a Care Bear Stare, oooh

this is the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny
good guys, bad guys, and explosions as far as the eye can see
and only one will survive, I wonder who it will be
this is the Ultimate Showdown...

angels sang out in immaculate chorus
down from the heavens descended Chuck Norris
who deliver a kick which could shatter bones
into the crotch of Indiana Jones
who fell over on the ground, writhing in pain
as Batman changed back into Bruce Wayne
but Chuck saw through his clever disguise
and he crushed Batman's head in between his thighs

then Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White and
"Monty Python and the Holy Grail"'s Black Knight and
Benito Mussolini and The Blue Meanie and
Cowboy Curtis and Jambi the Genie
Robocop, the Terminator, Captain Kirk, and Darth Vader
Lo Pan, Superman, every single Power Ranger
Bill S. Preston and Theodore Logan,
Spock, The Rock, Doc Ock, and Hulk Hogan
all came out of no where lightning fast
and they kicked Chuck Norris in his cowboy ass
it was the bloodiest battle the world ever saw
with civilians looking on total awe

and the fight raged on for a century
many lives were claimed, but eventually
the champion stood, the rest saw their better:
Mr. Rogers in a bloodstained sweater

this is the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny
good guys, bad guys, and explosions as far as the eye can see
and only one will survive, I wonder who it will be
this is the Ultimate Showdown...
this is the Ultimate Showdown...
this is the Ultimate Showdown...
of Ultimate Destiny

(Old, but I still laugh at it)

From what I heard from his sister (she witnessed the accident), he got thrown up about 6 feet into the air, landed headfirst on the windshield...and only got a concussion and bruises.

I gotta ask him what the hell his body is made of, cause that's just insane.

I had a doctor's appointment/follow up to make sure everything was going well with my chest. I sat in the radiology department for over an hour because someone fucked up my chart. They had to call up to my doctor's office and ask them what exactly I was getting again. I was waiting for my nurse to come down and go postal on everyone.

Everything is good except for the pinched nerve. I freaked him out a little bit when he asked what classes I was taking this quarter. I said emt-b and vertical rescue. He wasn't overly thrilled with the vertical rescue but I can do it.

So I met this girl who worked at starbucks, and I worked up the courage to ask her on a date after a couple of conversations at the register. She was a month older than me but I didn't really care, she was fun to be around. So we took a walk along the beach, and we kissed in the pale moonlight, a full moon, it was really romantic. We started really getting into it, and she slowly unzipped my jeans, she reaches inside and starts kissing her way down my chest, she finally gets all the way down, looks up at me with the most seductive eyes I've ever seen and says "No thanks, I had Reese's for breakfast" and I'm like "No way, you had candy for breakfast?" She replies, "Not candy! Reese's puffs cereal!" So she sliiiiides me a bowl. I crunch into it and WHAM! My mouth goes crazy! That smooth combo of peanut butter and chocolate-y taste attacking my taste buds! She zips my pants back up and says "And it's part of this complete breakfast!"

Oh, that reminds me of something that happened a while back. It must have been the other day, and I was walking down the street when say this guy fighting a man in a giant chicken costume. Man, they were going at it like crazy. Punching each other left, right and center and not even caring who else they hurt in their constant battle. So they ran into this building, right, and from what I can tell they fought all the way up to the roof, where they just fell off and landed, of all things, on a blimp, which then went nuts due to the extra weight and careened into another building, causing it to explode in a blaze of heat. I ran over to see if there was anything I could do to help any survivors, and incredibly these two just got up and kept whacking the tar out of each other like nothing had happened! I mean, there had to be hundreds of people in that building and they didn't even care! The only thing that matters to them is who wins that fight. Like I cared. I kept helping the survivors. There were a couple, but I'm sad to say that most of them must have died almost instantly. I hope when those guys are done with their fighting they stop and realize the consequences of their actions.

I don't suppose anyone else noticed that *someone* is revamping the star System? People who had three pips and were staff previously now have five, or something to that effect. (Haven't checked everyone; just got back from somewhere.)

I think those with 10,000+ posts are supposed to actually have four pips. I also remember there being one of those "Oh well, we'll deal with it when we get there" sort of arguments when they realized that Hosted Quest Forum Moderators also get four pips. :p Only theirs were probably gold too.

Oh good god, the gold pips... I remember those...

EDIT: Of course, a quick look at the online list will show a certain new Administrator fiddling around in the ACP.

Robot Chicken.

The Columbus police department. One of the single biggest departments in Ohio has been doing commercials late at night and during the day about taking applications to take a written exam. At the end of the commercial they say something along the lines of "the Columbus police department is currently looking for women and minorities."

I find it kind of funny because for years it's been the issue of women have it harder when trying to get into jobs that males dominate most of the time. The Columbus division of fire caught a lot of guff for it so they actually changed the testing methods and exams for women. The women pass and come into the stations only to leave for a desk job X number of years later.

If a woman can carry a line of fire hose or drag someone out of a burning building then she has my respect. If she can't even hold the hose or open the hydrant she has no place in the line of work. The same goes for the police. If you can't run and take down the criminal you don't belong there.

Darth Marsden
09-13-2007, 07:33 AM
Well, obviously Robot Chicken. Their Star Wars special would have been funnier if I hadn't seen half the stuff in it from the regular show.

If a woman is capable of doing the job, then I have absolutely no problem with them actually doing that job. I'd feel the same way about a guy doing the job - if they can do it, then fine. To be honest, that's what it should be for everyone.

I don't agree with changing how the physical exam is given just so a woman has a better chance of passing. The fat ass that passed out in his chair isn't gonna suddenly drop 80lbs so a woman can pick him up. I'm all for women in jobs and some of the firefighters my cousin works with are pretty damn cute. Ok, it is now official.

I hate my career planning class with a burning passion.

On wednesday, we have to call up 30 companies that we've looked up, and request an informational interview with them. I have only about 10 of the companies so far, and I have absolutely no information about 5 of them. We also have to actually go to the interview, and we have to make sure we cna go withou missing any of our classes. Our schedules have very little free space. And I really dont like my teacher. I don't like her methods.

It might not seem bad typed out like that, but I feel like I'm at the end of semester from hell already, and it's only week 4.

If I had to actually get a total of 30 interviews, I'd drop the course right now, and screw my future. I merely have to request an interview from a total of 30 companies. But yes, it's hard finding companies in my general area that have good information, and are acessible. Stil not having luck finding the darn places, and I got to do the phone thing tomorrow morning.

After calling about 40 companies, and getting only "no" "We're busy" "I work at home" and "please press 1 for service in english" I finally got a freaking interview next wednesday at 9:30 Am with a guy with my name. (:odd:)

It was not fun getting there, I tell you. The people who were panicking like crazy got their interviews on the first or second try, and there I am, crossing off all the names on my list. Heck, I actually had to borrow a friend's list because I ran out of names.

I live in the country, nearest fast food join is Wendy's and it's a drive. I gave up fast food back in the spring anyways and honestly I don't miss it.

I bet you could hop in a firetruck and turn the sirens on to go get your burger. It'd be good practice. You can pretend you are speeding to the scene to be just in time to perform a vertical rescue of someone jumping off the top of the burger king. You probably wouldn't get in trouble. Most of the other people on the road would probably just think you were going to save someone, and you might get a salute from a redneck or two in the process.

A salute from a redneck? It's funny how little you know about people and how much you assume.

I like reading but reading the stuff at the beginning of this book is boring. I skimmed through the first section and did the first page of my homework. Getting near perfect scores on my homework won't be a problem. The quizzes will be but it only counts for 7.5% of my overall grade.

Glenn the Great

I don't know how they are going to put a needle in your arm and just take nothing but platelets. They'd have to get the whole blood, and then filter out the platelets.

>_< I don't like needles. Especially big one that stay in you for a period longer than 3 seconds. No blood donating for me.

Oh gosh...I hate IV's...And they hate me. I went to the hospital last year, and Stayed the night. They had to stick the freaking IV into my arm THREE FREAKING TIMES. The nurse actually asked me if my skin was made of leather.

...haha...I remember when I was about 10...I was supposed to get a shot from the doctor, and I actually tried to fight him off. I ended up on the floor, and he stuck in the needle, and it didn't hurt me a bit, for some weird reason. Since then, I've been a bit better around needles. In fact, th eonly reason they ever scared me in the first place was when I got a city-sponsored shot for... I forget what, and the nurse did a very bad job with it. >_<

You really should give blood. If you're scared of giving blood imagine the people who need the blood who have tubes running all throughout their body, and you can't take a little prick in your arm? Sure, I don't like it either, but I go anyway. Then again, I'm not scared of blood, I'm totally fine when I bleed after they stick the needle in. They think that I'm gonna faint, but I think it's pretty interesting. You guys should give at least once, it gives you such a good feeling once you're done and you know that you're saving lives.

I should organize a blood drive for the forum.

Once I'm done with this course of medicine and it's been 30 days since my last dose I can donate blood again. I plan on doing it on a regular basis.

I've never actually given blood. My experiences with blood loss have to do with medical tests and injuries.

That eye is pretty cool, but I could see it getting overused. Why do they keep mentioning her? Why's she so important?
Wikipedia: Madeleine McCann disappeared on the evening of Thursday, 3 May 2007 in the resort of Praia da Luz in the Algarve, Portugal, just days short of her fourth birthday. The event has since generated international media attention with controversy surrounding the Portuguese-led police investigation and the actions of Madeleine's parents.

The British girl was on holiday with her parents and siblings when she disappeared from an apartment in the central area of the resort. Madeleine's parents have said that they left her unsupervised in a ground floor bedroom with her two-year-old twin siblings while they ate at a restaurant about 120 metres away.

The initial investigation by the Guarda Nacional Republicana, the first police to be called to the crime scene, concluded that she had been abducted. After further investigation, the PolÃ*cia Judiciária (Portuguese criminal investigation police) subsequently stated that there was a strong hypothesis that she might have died in her room. During the investigation there were a number of unconfirmed claimed sightings of Madeleine in Portugal and elsewhere and additional scientific evidence was obtained.

Police investigating her disappearance admitted on 17 August that the investigation was nowhere near a breakthrough. However, on 7 September, Kate and Gerry McCann, Madeleine's parents, were named as formal suspects (arguidos) in the investigation. Despite this, the McCanns flew back to the UK on 9 September.

The investigation involved the cooperation of the British and Portuguese police and demonstrated the differing methodologies employed by each, with regard to such aspects as the amount of information released to the public and the legal status of those involved in the case. The disappearance and its aftermath are notable for the breadth and longevity of the media coverage. This was initially due to the active involvement of the parents in publicising the case and to several awareness-raising campaigns by international celebrities and, latterly, to the interest that arose from the parents being named as suspects.

Read all about it. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Madeleine_McCann) It's been pretty much the front page of the newspapers ever since it happened, and it's really getting old, horrible as that sounds.

phattonez
09-21-2007, 04:58 PM

Double dash: one critical mis-jump in bowser's castle cost me the forst round. :(

Melee: First match, came out on top (barely). Second match, got beat by the guy who ended up winning the tournament (Defeating the 3 time champion [Peach user] with the Ice-climbers.). :P the dude double KO'd me and the other remaining guy.

Aside from that I did Random DS games, more melee, Snowboard kids 2, and got 2 hours of sleep (on a very uncomfortable bench). And we watched two episodes of the Mario bros super show at 6 in the morning, when everyone was almost brain dead. :P It's surprisingly hilarious when you cannot think clearly.

Also...I now totally loathe the "eliteist" Melee players. IE, the ones who think that No-item-final-destination-four-stock is the ONLY right way to play. This guy was loudly denouncing the tournament as total garbage just because we used random stages instead of final destination. He also made himself sound really stupid when I defended Item use (It IS in th egame for a reason!). :P Then Karma owned him by selecting the Ice climber's stage for his round. He got owned.

Now, I needs my sleep.

Sounds a lot like the guy who introduced me to pro smash. He was also a huge tool, and although he was aware of the fact that the smash world is bigger than your livingroom, he learned wavedashing and pretty much thought he was the shit. We proved him wrong.

I understand tournament rules to an extent - they're good for a tournament. They're in place for a reason - because there are exploits. When it's serious, you want to avoid it as simply as possible. Stage banning and item banning is the best way to make sure you are actually measuring a players skill - and no, you can't remove all randomness from the game, so it's never fullproof.

But I always play with items, and virtually all the stages. I keep items on "very low" but I love having them none-the-less. It spices up the game a lot. Tournaments avoid exploiting because it can make a lot of people angry, and lose money.
If your friends are exploiting the game, you can make them go home, or stop playing. No harm done.

True Smash pros should be able to utilize all items effectively.

Double dash: one critical mis-jump in bowser's castle cost me the forst round. :(

Lemme guess, it was that little cut in the wall right in front of the Bowser head that shoots the fireballs?

You can't argue that an item can completely turn an otherwise won round. I could be losing by two, and an effectively used item could tie the stock out, and I could come on back and win. That should happen purely by how I play, rather than by the hand of an item. That's why they're not used in tourneys. Because it would piss too many people off. Yes, item catching/shielding/reflecting is a great skill, but it still has a good ammount of use in tourneys anyhow. A few characters pull their own throwables.

Either way, I'm sure if you saw the rule in a practical example, you wouldn't be able to argue it.

Me, but that's by choice. Please don't ask me to change my mind.

So there I was, unable to play games on ma PC because I was burning the latest American Dad episodes to DVD (I'm slow off the mark, sue me) and, for some reason, I come up with the idea to google the phrase 'sequels that should never have been made'. I get a couple of Amazon wish lists, a couple of threads on random forums, and this (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/vine/showthread.php?t=564278&page=1&pp=30). If you're too lazy to click, here's the top 5:

5. Batman & Robin
4. Blues Brothers 2000
3. Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha' Hood
2. Caddyshack 2
1: Staying Alive

...and then the rest of the thread goes on with people arguing that the Matrix sequels were actually fairly good and that Phantom Menace was better then A New Hope. Which is clearly bollocks, since the acting in TPM was appalling and TMR was full of so much technobabble and random words strung together that you couldn't understand a fraction of it.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only non-noob-smasher who likes items. They do "add spice". The Heart container aside, I think that all the items are perfectly balanced. I do however understand that in tounraments that items/hyrule temple/glithes are banned. It make sperfect sense to want to see the basic skills used fully. But in a regular match, having no items, and a bland arena...it's just dull.

I don't get it. Last night, I was at my cousin's wedding, and I got pretty drunk. I was feeling pretty sick at one point, but I got past that and had a good time. This morning, nothing. Everyone else there had a bad hangover, but I was fine. Is it because I was going to the bathroom every 5 minutes yesterday or am I just insusceptible to them?

Did you have more than one type of drink? Say beer then a few shots of jack and some wine or some mixture of that?

That's where most of your hangovers come from is taking a shit load of different drinks in. Mostly why I stick to Jack and I can't stand the taste of beer.

Being a big fan of Melee so I know where this is all coming from. I actually don't use some the items and use others instead. Example: I don't use the Bom-omb, but I use the Motion Sensor Mine. I don't use the Hammer, but I use the Home-Run Bat. Some items just perform funcitons that are too similar. So I just use only one of them.

And I too get Opportunust. I jsut can't resist that bonus for some reason. :kitty:

I love the Home-Run Bat. I'm deadly with it.

Let's see, I'm a little rusty when it comes down to the definitions of the bonuses. So I'm going to have to look that one up.

Opportunist(-1000)
- Didn't attack for a very long period of time.

Oh, please, I never get this one. ;) Attack, attack, attack is my motto.

Butterfingers(-500)
- Had a high rate of grab and dash-grab failures.

Now THIS is one I always get. I play as Link, so it's difficult to grab with the Hookshot.

mrz84
10-01-2007, 08:46 PM
I have to also say that I get Butterfingers often. Samus and Link both have the same Grab/Throw type move so it can be kinda hard to do just right sometimes. Also I have to say of all the items, the Beam Sword and the Home-Run Bat are my favs. And the Paper Fan of Doom. :kitty:

Hear hear, Pineconn. I also rarely get Opportunist. I'm not the self-proclaimed (Okay, that isn't quite true. Others have shouted it out in the middle of a battle as well. :-3 ) MissileBitch for no reason! Huzzah.

I really have no problem with items being on. I just keep them on very low, where they can't become a nuisance, and even then, I remove red shells, the hammer, the Star, and (Usually) the health items. I also don't use Baseball bats. I throw them. I also wait to throw them, just as I wait to use my Charge Beam as Samus.

We also had a Pro Doc Mario Player Today (http://www.vgcats.com/comics/images/070908.jpg). (Pic almost related.) Difficult to defeat, those professionals. I heard rumors that they take Aderol (However it's spelled) right before a match, as it enhances reaction time. It's the equivalent of steroids in MLG.

... was very happy that my Link defeated him eventually. Good lord, that guy is a challenge.

I've been privy to that info for quite awhile especially since Kirby is one of DO's fav characters to use. Anyone else surprised of some the new characters appearing in Brawl? Diddy Kong and Lucas (Mother 3) for example. I would not have expected another Kong to appear really and Lucas? Is he just replacing Ness or will he be joining him? There's still a few months till the game is released and only time will tell. And who knows? Maybe they'll replace Falco with Krystal? :kitty:

You know what I discovered? If you hover above someone and turn into a rock and fall on them, a lot of people won't get out of the way.Rest well assured, .. this actually works on me most of the time. :p I'm one of those people who HATES it when people spin attack, for only the two reasons that you can edge guard really well with it, and yet it's structurally flawed, in the sense that you can up+b to JUST the very edge without popping your head any higher than you need to, then release and Up+B again, right into the spin attack. Rather nasty, actually. That, and you can just shield at the right time (Which most of the Pros do anyway.) and you've made yourself completely vulnerable after the spin attack. So I don't like people having to compromise themselves for such a cheap move when they could actually try and learn some real evasive and counterattack maneuvers.

Kirby just ticks me off. X x. At least I can live with the fact that this Cutter attack can be power shielded. It's just completely rewarding. When facing a Kirby, if you want to escape most of his attacks while attacking head on, you actually have to know how to wavedash and shield really well. Kirby's fire rush (Running+A) is kinda tough to avoid, and catches me off guard a lot.

And who knows? Maybe they'll replace Falco with Krystal? An outright replacement would make a lot of people very unhappy. I'm a massive Falco player. Hell, I'm sure PC Chris and BombSoldier alone would be the pure stopping force (Complete with a freaking shotgun) behind the replacement. But yes, Krystal would be so very kickass to have in the game. As long as they don't introduce Slippy instead. :p

Is he just replacing Ness or will he be joining him?I wasn't so much surprised, as I was ... eh. I don't much care about the characters, but I'll learn them anyway. Ness could be a parallel replacement, or could be a different supplementative character. There's not been that much from Earthbound in the first place, so Lucas could be the equivalent of a Falco or Young Link or Pichu from Melee. Or, learning from their ... "mistakes" ... in Melee, he could have entirely different moves, but Ness would remain. OR, if worse comes to worse, Lucas could just be a completely retexturing and reconstruction of sound of Ness. So Ness would be "changed" yet the same.

Ugh. I hate Slippy with a vengence. If he's in the game, he's going to be my punching bag whenever I don't have somebody to play against.

Also the Krystal thing was a half joke. Kinda. I like Falco more than Fox really. Krystal would just be a nice addition. Like they could have all three of them kinda like Mario, Peach and Bowser from the Mario series (along with DK and Wario) and they could reign from the Star Fox games. But that's all just really wishfull thinking.

I am gradually discovering the fact that Doom 3 is one of the scariest games I've ever played. I don't really know what sort of "fear scale" I'm dealing with, but I do know that I very much hesitate and despise even so much as going into a new room out of the anticipation that enemies will be both found in the most unlikely of places AND appear out of places I've already scoured. Honestly, the latter is far, far more terrifying to me than the former. When I clear out an area, I'm convinced that it's a safe haven to retreat to and reload, and to gain my bearings. When an enemy attacks from behind me when my back is (Supposedly safely!) turned to my tiny little bloody sanctuary, it just creeps me the hell out. I don't even know which enemy to kill first. It almost feels like just blazing ahead would be safer than going back into that sanctuary to gain my bearings. Dang.

Maybe I'm just either annoyed (or thrilled that I need to do it in the first place) that I constantly need to switch between my flashlight and my shotgun, particularly in the middle of battle. Recently (well, fairly. About a month ago), we switched internet providers. We were formerly with Tesco.net, but switched to Sky.com because then we could get TV, Phone and Internet for one relatively low price. The problem is, the internet is shit. It keeps cutting out, on both the router and my USB adapter.

So now finally, after threatening to stop subscribing, we are told that we need to be connected to the main line, which we weren't - we got an extension to the main line some time ago. And it took them a month, and numerous calls to the help desk, to tell us this. I am really starting to hate Sky.

Actually, I hate sleeping in. I just view it as wasting the day. Perhaps I should actually use my alarm clock. :p

I don't mind alarm clocks... as long as they do NOT go off <giggle>. :) They startle me when they go off and that's just not a nice way to start off a day... <blah>

Eh, waking up is an awful way to start the day.

Today was my sister's birthday. Nothing much happened, save for me letting her use the "better" computer in the house all day. I cracked open my copy of the original Dungeon Keeper and played about half the single player campaign through. Man, such a good game...

"Keeper. Your dungeon is on a slant. Angry creatures cannot play marbles!"

Concert tickets are never cheap. $138 for two tickets to see Keith Urban. I'm taking my friend Angela...well friend for the moment anyways. We aren't even on the floor but we have a really nice view of the stage.

I woke up close to 10:30 but just wanted to lay in bed for another hour.

I hate alarms. I've woken up to them for years and the sound is the most annoying thing in the world to me.

I usually set mine to play music when it goes off. I agree, I hate the EHH! EHH! EHH! sound sooo much.

Well, the Indians just beat the Red Sox. 'Bout time. Since I live in Ohio, I guess I have an obligation to root for the Indians, but I really couldn't care less. I'm a football guy, anyway (Steelers FTW).

Go Indians for the ALCS. Go Rockies for the WS!

Basically any sound that wakes me up I come to hate. The TV used to wake me up for a while and the sound of it turning on kind of annoys me. Same goes for a coffee grinder. My dad used that every morning and it always woke me up. As if the sound wasn't annoying enough as it is.

The obligation must not extend to football though because you root for the team in PA instead of either of the two in Ohio, lol. I just found that funny.

I am rooting for the Indians too. The Buffalo Bisons are their farm team and that's where I am originally from so it kind of made me an Indians fan by default. Glad to see they tied up the series at 1.

I picked up an old Nickelodeon alarm clock at a garage sale years ago. So every morning I wake up to:

"3" "2" "1" *Plays Taps* *boing* *boing* *boing* *cuckoo clock* *cuckoo clock* Nick-nick-nick-nick-nick-nick-nick-Nickelodeon!

OSU for the win!

Shit it's cold up here!

edit: I got my new stethoscope from Gall's the other day and inside was their huge it could double as a weapon catalog. They also sent me 500ft of fire tape.....I'm gonna have fun with someone's car later.

Well, both of my parents are from western PA, so I kind of have to be a Steelers fan. ;) Neither of them really follow baseball either. Or basketball, or hockey, or soccer, or tennis... et cetera.

Speaking of alarm clocks. Who wants to get up at 4am?

8am class on campus but I gotta up early to feed the dogs, iron my uniform pants and shirt then beat rush hour traffic and play musical cars with everyone else trying to get a parking spot.

My plan is simple. Cut into the first space I find even if it pisses someone off.

Rockies win again, just one more and they're in the World Series! Now I just need the Indians to beat the Red Sox.

I'd rather get up at 1:15am to go to work at 2:30am. Except for the fact that I usually hate my job.

Last week I slept from 6am-730 am on tuesday and 4 am - 730 am on friday. The combination of midterms, philharmonic audition, and contest season in high school marching band is bad.

You know, I really like my DS, but the alarm is the most annoying sound ever.

I'm sleeping, and suddenly..."brr!brr!brr! brr!brr!brr! brr!brr!brr!" >_< oh, and if you don't tap the screen/buttons to make it go into snooze mode...the volume keps going up...and up...and..up..untill you get pised off enough to get up and press the snooze function...giving you another 6 minutes of peace before...
"brr!brr!brr! brr!brr!brr! brr!brr!brr!"

>_< but I have to use it, or I'll never get to school on time!

oh, but the worst wake up call I ever had was on a family vacation. we were at a hotel, and my mom set up her cell phone to wake us all up. Well...I'm sleeping peacefully (well..expect for the fact that I was sharing a bed with my bro [Innocent intentions, you perverts!], and he kicks me constantly...), when all of the sudden...

This cheery sounding song plays. a really creepy kind of cheery song.

>_< I hate and fear that ringtone to this day. Whenever I hear it...I freeze in terror. Maybe it's because of the fact that it's such a bad song, and it woke me up at 5 am...but I hate that freaking song.

Also, apparently I would make an awesome PI, given how well I'm doing in Discworld Noir.

My alarm is the a ringtone from my cellphone that sound like it's from the Nutcracker (I think it is, too) and it is VERY loud. I usually only use it to wake up to get ready for work at 6am or to do some something I really need to do that early (like say get ready to go meet somebudy later that morning), but I digress.

GamerMan like Glenn has been perma-banned and never coming back.

Darth Mrasden's ban was lifted. There was a mix up early but it's been resolved.

Yes, Prrkitty has also made this announcement in the Superlatives thread, but it's always excellent to hear a second viewpoint. But I have to ask, why was GamerMan perma-banned? I have to admit, él fue un poco pesado, pero él tuvo good intentions. Yes, Spanish class pays off a little!

(Okay, I decided to translate that just to make sure I got everything right, but it said that pesado means heavy. I could have sworn it meant annoying.)

Well, I did 'abuse' my powers.

..

Ok, so I edited a couple of GamerMan's posts and I closed two threads. Woo.

I didn't even realise what had happened until I logged on this morning. Apparently I was perma-banned, then that was retracted and I just got an infraction. Thanks to PrrKitty, who not only campaigned on my behalf, but also tried to keep me updated on the situation. But, as I've mentioned elsewhere, I live in the UK and was asleep through the whole thing. So, y'know, whatever.

Apparently it's called "as happy as the rain". According to my dad, it was sung be Diana Ross, at some point.

Well, at least the Glenn rama is over, and we can go back to our regular posting. :P

Oh, and I'd like to apologize for any noobish behavious I exhibited yesterday. >_> I was really frustrated, and I needed a vent for it.

I have 1,000ft of fire tape. It's the "fire line do not cross" that you always see at the scene of an accident or a fire. Of course the cops are like little kids and racing to get to their car and wrap off the scene with their own special tape.

I need to go have some fun with this...cover someones car with it, maybe a small house.

Pineconn
10-16-2007, 03:38 PM
Haha, that's a great idea. If you ever do that, you have to take a picture or at least give us an account of the owner's reaction.

Indians are 2-1 in the series.
Dolphins are 0-6. :D

If you DO wrap up a car in fire tape, at least make sure it's a HOT car.
