custom tilesets

how do you make your own tilesets :( ? i wanna make one that would be ideal 4 me

heh, depends how you want to do it really. If you're making all your own graphics or ripping all the graphics from another game to make a complete set, its probably best to start with the Z1 tileset because there isn't too much there to get in the way. I made a tileset in black and white ripping all of the graphics from another game. The first thing I did was to rip the 4 colours onto all Csets, I think it's important to have what palettes you're using set up first. When I put that tileset into colour, I set up the palettes first, then started colouring the tiles to fit into them.
If you're building using another tileset as a base, it'd be easier because you don't have to set the palettes, you just have to rip or draw tiles and colour them into the palettes.
