Ya, know all that flooding in the Mid-west that's been reported? Well my house is now an island. I'm lucky I wasn't there when the water got up oir I'd be stuck there for days. It's not up to the house, but I still can't go near it until the waters receed. Pretty much, I'm staying in the hotel I work at. (but don't get any discounts) :kitty:

Wow, thas really got to suck. Hope it dries out soon, and/or a massive vaccum suddenly appears. Seriously, I hope it gets better for your sake.

Oh no! That sounds much worse than that time my brother's SUV got flooded over during a flash flood in San Antonio.

I'm back at home now, I posted last night really because I couldn't get to a pc until then, but I've been in that hotel since Monday night. I'm just glad the weather forcast for my area (rain for a week straight) didn't happen or I'd be outta luck for quite awhile. Anyways, thanks for the voices of concern to those who took the time to read my thread. :kitty:

Great to hear that you got home ok.

Here's hoping your house didn't take any structural damage.

We checked and there's no damage. I'm actually not surprised because our landlord told us the flood of 93 didn't even touch the house and this one ended up being a few feet lower so the house is ok. Though our dogs reak after they swam through it a bit while we were gone. :kitty:

We lost almost everything in a flood when I was six. I feel your pain. Glad you're alright :)
