I've downloaded ZC 2.10.2 for Windows, and extracted it and everything, but when I open zelda-w.exe or zquest-w.exe, they seem like they're opening for a second (the frame of a new window flickers), but then they close.

The zc2102w folder includes:

1st.qst
2nd.qst
3rd.qst
210test.qst
alleg42.dll
allegro.log
bs1st.qst
bs2nd.st
demoeq.qst
example_1st.qst
example_2nd.qst
fonts.dat
qst.dat
sfx.dat
zelda.dat
zelda-w.exe
zquest.dat
zquest.txt
zquest-w.exe

When I try to open zelda-w.exe, allegro says:

Try running it in windowed mode. Grab a copy of the ZC launcher. I believe it has support for version 2.10.

That worked wonderfully. Thanks, Dark Nation. :)

I would just like to point out that this is an excellant example of how to ask a question! Good job DraGlenn.
