Ys 3 is one of my all time favorites. Try to get ahold of Ys: Oath in Felghana. It's an overhead 3D remake of Ys 3 with modern graphics and music.

I'd have to say that the guy dressed as Auron is the only cool looking guy in that screenshot. I have to agree with just about all of this though concerning the PS100 stuff. Its kinda funny, but sad at the same time.

You know, the one where you play watch as a clone of Virtual Snake #292 trying to take out the terrorist virus cell S.P.A.R.T.A. with five wacky enemies, one of which will invariably survive somehow?

(And it's worth mentioning that not a single game since the origional one on PSX have you actually played as Solid Snake without a gimmick for the entire game, he's either not actually himself, old, a clone, a virtual reality program, a virtual clone, a ghost, the cardboard box that snake uses, a transcended human singularity in which an imaginary Snake exists, etc.)

Dial-up? By the time of the PS100? Technology will be so advanced by then that we'll be having information beamed directly into out heads at a rate of a million megs an hour, or something. We'll play games with a virtual reality headset and a pair of VR gloves that mimic our actions in the game world.* Only Nintendo will make a successful version of the console, and it'll be about half the price of Sony's, though fan boys will still rave on about how Sony is God and can never be faulted, despite having constantly failed to deliver a decent console for centuries.

*If that actually happens within my lifetime, I will be very happy indeed.
