Quest List

In the absence of a Quest Database, I have created a simple Quest List.

The quests listed have links to the original QDB zipped quest files and images. I found this information by attempting to "guess" what the filenames would be, and looking in "The Pool" for images. With help, this list can become comprehensive. It is not a permanent solution for a working Quest Database.

If you would like to add a quest to the list, post the following relevant information:

1. Name of the quest
2. Creator(s)
3. Location of the zipped quest (e.g. http://www.armageddongames.net/zeldaclassic/download.php?file=TwelvePalaces.zip)
4. Location of the first image (e.g. http://zeldaclassic.armageddongames.net/screenshots/12pal01ss01.jpg)

For #3, try using the full name of the quest with all capital letters and no spaces or punctuation. If the name is long, try abbreviations (e.g. Dr. Wily's Revenge = DWR)

For #4, you could try using The Pool, then right-clicking the picture and selecting properties. The source of the picture should be listed. Also, you can try guessing. It seems like the format is abcde01ss01.xxx (five letter abbreviation followed by 01ss01 followed by the extension). The file extension is usually .gif but there is .jpg too.

Please help with the addition of quests. Perhaps this temporary solution will spark a permanent one.

Its not too difficult to do (if you don't have to spend half an hour poking around in the IN_PORTAL AREA thing to find where the pool actually is), although it does take a little while.

I agree that quest version is important information, but how can that information be obtained in a sure manner?

MODS: I seriously don't mean to advertise here, so if this is pushing the rules, delete it, and PM me.

There is a link in my signature that is a site that contains a quest database. It also accepts quest demos. If you would like, go ahead and submit them in, that way your quest is in more than just PZC's database for the time being.

I'll also host you support and bug topics if you'd like, just get a hold of me with a link to the thread, and I'll sticky it for you.

I really hope this post wasn't pushing the rules.
