Characters?

I'm new to the forums and I was wondering if it's possible to change the appearance of the main character.:confused:

Of course it's possible! ;)
Go to Quest=>Graphics=>Tiles and look for the first page (it's labeled as 0). You can see the Link tiles at the top. Just place another tiles there and you are ready.

Easy things:
For example, you can press the "H" key on your keyboard to horizontally flip the "One handed item got" tile if you want Link to hold with his other hands.

Medium things:
For example, you can download new character tiles and replace the originals with them.

Hard things:
For example, you can redraw the tiles completely.

The PureZC tileset database (http://www.purezc.com/index.php?page=tiles) has lots of them. Even Zelda player tiles! Enjoy!

Experienced advises:
1.Don't check the "expanded Link tile modifiers" unless you have different "Item hold", "swim", etc tiles set up.
2.Check if your character looks good in CSet6, 7, 8, 9. You can do that by presing +- on your keyboard.
3.Have the same shields in potential inventory as the ones that the character wields on the tile.

You don't have to overwrite those tiles though. You can also go to Graphics->Sprites->Link, and change them there. That way you don't lose your Link tiles if you want them later. Just FYI
