...yeah, it's supposed to be "ZC." Boy is my face red. But that's life...anyways:

I'm getting issues when trying to play on a school network:

When I try to load up a quest, it says something to the effect of "Error: Unable to open file." Also, the opening Armageddon Games screen and Zelda title screen load up perfectly fine, but not much else loads up, unless it's a pop-up menu of some sort. In short, it really doesn't like this network, I'm assuming. The computer itself isn't that terrible. It's a P3 733MHz with 256 MB of RAM, so I figure that it meets the basic requirements.

Let me know, anyone!

What version are you using, and which quest(s) are you trying to play?

Depending on the version, it may require access to the root of C:, which, in a network environment, you may not have. What are the contents of the allegro.log file?

I'm using Zelda Classic v2.10 (Build 0)

ZC directory:
\\Merlin\Users\Preparatory\Staff\kleblanc\ZC2.10

In short, the "My Documents" folder on any computer I am on links directly to:
\\Merlin\Users\Preparatory\Staff\kleblanc\

So when I click on "My Documents," it takes me to the previous address.

Quest directory:
C:\Zelda
(I'm positive that I'm linking to that directory and not the network one.)

I apparently do have some access to the C drive because I am able to edit/delete files that are on it. What happens is that everything just gets erased when I log out, and I have to recopy things after logging back in. However, it wouldn't let me install TO the C drive, which is why I went for the network drive.

Allegro.log:

Yeah. ZC 2.10.0 has that bug. Try 2.10.2.

Get the Windows Full version.

There's a way around it - get ZCL, and use my "admin bypass tool".

What is does is simulates a new drive in explorer that contains your ZC folder. You can play it from there.
