(I couldn't find the answer to this on the net either...)
Anyways, why doesn't fluoride stick to carbon in a carbon filter? One of my friends could use the answer to this, which explains the sudden randomness.
EDIT: Well, according to someone else, his guess is that there's no electrons to give or take between carbon and fluoride (fluorine on the periodic table). But that's just a guess and not quite proved or confirmed.
