A question regarding death counts: How high would the death count be for a quest for you to consider the quest "too hard?"

Is there a range that you aim for when making a quest or when making a quest the right difficulty?

That's a good question. A relatively difficult game - not ridiculous hard - is never bad, maybe around 30-50 deaths. A difficult quest might be 50-100, and a too difficult quest may be 100+. On the flip side, a normal quest should be 15-30, and an easy one would be less than that. Do bear in mind that some people prefer easier quests.

Most of my quests usually are in the 30-50 death range for many people. Lost Isle may see a increase in that though. >_>

And Isle of the Winds. Before I got the fatal Level A bug, I just beat Level 5 and had just over 100 deaths. :p

On my second time through Isle of the Winds, after finding the level A bug, and then realising that you could use F6 to save and didnt have to die ¬_¬ I think I got about 30, but my save file got corrupted in level 8

I'm pretty sure my death count for dreams of yesterday was 150+. Hidden duality extreme might have been just shy of 100.

Most other quests I've played have been 10-20 deaths, which I consider to be fair.

Most quests I end up with around 30-50 deaths. My old file of IotW (Before I encountered the Level A bug) had 200+ deaths, mainly because I kept doing stuopid things like constantly going to level 8's boss without the red tunic and the magic sword, and going to the room in Level C with the mirror wizzrobes without the mirror shield.
