Is Zelda Classic Legal??

Doesn't Nintendo have a copyright on the Zelda franchise so how are they allowing this?

Do they just not care or did they give you permission or what. I'm quite confused...

As long as no one's making money off it, Nintendo officially doens't care. They just ignore this kind of thing. It's not worth the lawyer's cost to shut it down.

Yes obviously Nintendo has a trademark rights to the Zelda name. Because of that, they have the right to determine who they allow to use it and how it can be used.
